Revisado: 12-24-23
Very through look at the process, success and potential failures of American democracy. He gives much needed context to the formation on this nation and why it is so unique compared to other governments around the world. Combine this with a grounded citizenship curriculum and the youth of this nation would have a different experience living in this great nation.

Historia
In the 1960s, Mao launched China’s Cultural Revolution. Cities grew overcrowded. Technocrats demanded progress from above. Anyone opposed was sent to be “re-educated.” China’s revolution was bloody, fast, and a failure, but what if America started a revolution at the same time, based on the same bad ideas, and it’s just been slower, calmer, and more effective?

Great information - lackluster narration
Revisado: 10-08-23
Great information - I will definitely be purchasing the hard back to enhance the library. Chris is very thorough in his research and presents a clear message on how this could happen in America. He concludes that all is not lost, but we have hope. Remain vigilant in speaking the truth and the great deception will be revealed for what it is - nothing of substance .

Historia
In this profoundly important reassessment of constitutional interpretation, the eminent legal philosopher Hadley Arkes argues that "originalism" alone is an inadequate answer to the judicial activism of the left. Without recourse to "mere Natural Law"—the moral principles knowable by all—our legal and constitutional system is doomed to incoherence. Brilliant in its analysis, essential in its argument, Mere Natural Law is a must-listen for everyone who cares about the Constitution, morality, and the rule of law.

Excellent narration!! The prose was concise and easily understood. The logic & reasoning used is straightforward and accessible for the majority of readers. This should be taught at the high school level, allowing young citizens to know the correct understanding of the Constitution through the lens of our Founding Fathers. Highly recommend to any citizen who is concerned for The United States of America

Great way to understand the rebirth of Isreal
Revisado: 12-31-22
An in depth telling of the rebirth of the nation of Isreal. The intrigue, deception, and persecution the Jewish community faced in reclaiming their homeland. How time & time again the British made promises never intending to keep and openly treating the Jewish in a horrible manner even though many Jewish men served in the British military during both World Wars. Much of the strife and contention in the Middle East may have been averted if only British kept their word. It is a lengthy story, but one that keeps you engaged, but also has you go from sad to angry to amazed to heartened and back again. Apart from God, this nation would not exist. Shalom Isreal

Refreshing look on conflict resolution
Revisado: 12-17-22
This was excellently written & narration was outstanding!! Usually not a fan of western genre, but this was well done & the message is relevant for today. How we have to face our giants with truth & integrity. Living a simple, honest life gives one the character to stand up to injustice, not by use of force, as was the custom of the time period, but with conviction, reason, compassion and truth.

Historia
The award-winning political theorist Yoram Hazony argues that the best hope for Western democracy is a return to the empiricist, religious, and nationalist traditions of America and Britain—the conservative traditions that brought greatness to the English-speaking nations and became the model for national freedom for the entire world. Conservatism: A Rediscovery explains how Anglo-American conservatism became a distinctive alternative to divine-right monarchy, Puritan theocracy, and liberal revolution.

Historia
In Conservatism, Roger Scruton offers listeners an invitation into the world of political philosophy by explaining the history and evolution of the conservative movement over the centuries. With the clarity and authority of a gifted teacher, he discusses the ideology's perspective on civil society, the rule of law, freedom, morality, property, rights, and the role of the state. In a time when many claim that conservatives lack a unified intellectual belief system, this book makes a very strong case to the contrary, one that politically-minded listeners will find compelling and refreshing.

Narration a little dry & felt sluggish in some parts. A scholarly overview focused on British & American Conservative mindsets from history to modern day. Gives clear information on why Conservative values and principles are needed government, as well as society. Highly recommend

Historia
The year is 1327. Franciscans in a wealthy Italian abbey are suspected of heresy, and Brother William of Baskerville arrives to investigate. But his delicate mission is suddenly overshadowed by seven bizarre deaths that take place in seven days and nights of apocalyptic terror. Brother William turns detective, and a uniquely deft one at that. His tools are the logic of Aristotle, the theology of Aquinas, the empirical insights of Roger Bacon-- all sharpened to a glistening edge by his wry humor and ferocious curiosity.
