Couldn't keep up with the many characters. Couldn't understand the names. Omniscient POV going everywhere. Other folks seemed to like this book, so it must be good. Sorry. Not for me.

I've listened to several of the author's books. They're lacking a critical component of the novel, the denouement. I enjoy the author's work and style. Love the surprises. But give us a little more at the end. Don't kick us off a cliff, give us a parachute, please.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Pulled me in from the very beginning. Multidimensional characters with backstories. I was rooting for them. Note to author: There are no mountains visible from Lake Norman. Charlotte girl here. You're forgiven this time but just don't do it again. Grin.

While I enjoyed The Cookie Jar Murders, I found the author's stance against common sense gun control measures reprehensible. I vowed never to read her again. Thought I would give her one more chance, but no. Just another right wing gun nut out on the loose pushing her agenda. Guns for everyone! No background checks! Buying guns should be as easy and fun as buying cookies. Revolting. I'm throwing the book at her. Our children are being mown down by semi-automatic weapons. When will the madness stop? I hope her children and grandchildren survive her evil politics.

Lack of diversity in entire series

Author doesn't appear to be living in this century. Right wing propaganda at every turn. I don't believe there is a person of color in this entire series. That said, I have somewhat enjoyed the stories. Kept hoping they would evolve a bit. But no. Note to author: There are at-home pregnancy tests at every drug store. Author might need to take a break from her gun polishing and get out more. Would it be too much to ask for just one person of color in these 30+ books? I won't be listening to any more books by this author.

Great romantic suspense, kept me on the edge of my seat. Narrator is quite talented and adept at her craft. However, she seems to have rather severe allergies in many of her performances. It is distracting to say the least. I wanted to give her a box of Kleenex. I wish her better health in the future.

I wish I could have heard this book. The narrator either whispers or yells. Narrators are supposed to READ the material in an AUDIBLE way. Whispers are not audible. Narrator needs to find another job.

From what I could actually hear, this is a great story. I'll buy a printed copy that I may discern the WORDS.
