What a great lecture for parents
Revisado: 02-03-15
This was such a good lecture that I'll listen to it again. It helps parents
understand the way their children think and how to bring up their child.

Historia
Language defines us as a species, placing humans head and shoulders above even the most proficient animal communicators. But it also beguiles us with its endless mysteries, allowing us to ponder why different languages emerged, why there isn't simply a single language, how languages change over time and whether that's good or bad, and how languages die out and become extinct.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
No, none of my friends would be interested in this genre.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The history of different languages.
What does Professor John McWhorter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His knowledge and experiences.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Some parts I thought was inapprpriate, especially from a lecturer. Eg. Throwing a dog off a ship into the water.
Any additional comments?
It was an interesting lecture if you are learning a second language or interested in languages.
