i am a fan of Mercedes Lackey and was very disappointed in this story. I won't be listening zo any others in this series.
The narrator didn't pause from one sentence to another or section. It caused some confusion on what and where things were happening.

The idea behind the story is a good one, but within the first 20 minutes of the book the story had no idea which way to go. The narrator must not understand a comma, period or exclamation mark. She was all over the place. Stopped listening after 30 minutes and will be asking for my credit back.

I found it very difficult to get drawn into this book. My mind kept wandering and was unable to stay focused. I almost didnt finish it. There were multiple rewindings, an indication of not much depth to the story.

This is the second time time I've tried to finish this book. I did it, but it was a struggle. There are some exciting points, but not enough of them to make-up for the parts that are too descriptive and drone on and on. Will not be listening to the others in this series.
