Well written, cozy, unique
Revisado: 03-31-25
I really liked this book. The story is a modern fantasy, found family, light romance. The characters are well written, each fleshed out with unique personalities. My only critique is that the main character gets over shadowed by all the other more interesting characters. Matt is a little bland thus making it hard to focus on him as a main character. The plot is quite good and unique I. it approach. I definitely recommend this to any modern fantasy/ cozy romance readers!

Haunting Mystery but confusing.
Revisado: 07-22-24
This was a lovely who dunnit/ghost story. The characters were interesting and fleshed out well. The story was engaging and creepy. There were only a couple small issues such as the jumping POV's. Going backwards and forwards in time could be jarring and take you out of what often was an engrossing tale. The ending felt a bit rushed, as if the author was hitting the end of a deadline and had to finish up quick. And finally the narrator was a bit one dimensional and often lacked emotion or inflection. Otherwise Some Can See was a quite thrilling paranormal mystery. Also as a fellow Michigander, I enjoyed the twist of our local history! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

An excellent creepy read
Revisado: 07-20-24
This book kept me on edge the entire way through. It's atmosphe was intense and the creep factor was upped substantially by the narrators deep slow recitation. The immediate confrontation with the supernatural elements rathern than a slow build up gave the story an edge of your seat feeling that kept me slightly off kilter and unable to quicky draw any conclusions or assumptions. The writing is superb and I was so engaged that I felt as if I experiencing the story in real time rather than listening second hand. I don't think I can really compare this to anyone else I've ever read as it is quite unique as well as entertaining. I wish I could give The Spite House more than 5 stars!

Revisado: 04-06-24
Kaefer really does these novels justice. He brings MK's world to life like no one else. Listening to these is an experience! As usual MK Gibson entralls you with Jackson Blackwell's misadventures. Just like a cards against humanity game, its so fun to be just this side wrong. Hilarious, entertaining, surprisingly sweet and ever raunchy, another wind for MK Gibson!

Readable
Revisado: 10-08-22
Honestly this trilogy was just ok. It was a mildly spicy slow burn that was wholly unsatisfying. The entire story is just a ripoff of the Lore Olympus web comic, right down to the colors used to describe the characters. It was just so underwhelming. The writing style was juvenile, the characters bland, and the plot was non existent. It's very much a "here's a bunch of crazy fantastical stuff that just happens and we're just gonna roll with it" kind of book.If you like quick reads as background noise, this will do.

Historia
The time has finally come for Sophia to enact her vengeance against one Julian Jackson Blackwell. The name of the book is Villains Defeat, after all, and it is a story of team building, betrayal, plots-within-plots, and a how-to guide for toppling an empire. So, yeah, we’re kind of riffing on “the heist” genre in this one.

As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn't always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Great Book/Terrible Reader
Revisado: 05-11-21
I live this book but the reader makes it hard to listen to. He gives British accents to Greek characters. The story itself is amazing and wonderfully written. It's so engaging, though if you've read Acheron first a bit repetitive in places. Highly recommend!
