Historia
On September 13, 2016, in the small town of Ashland, Ohio, emergency dispatchers received a 911 call from a terrified woman who claimed to be kidnapped. The man holding her hostage was Shawn Grate, a serial killer whom the press later dubbed “The Ladykiller.” A key to his conviction and death sentence were Grate’s extensive recorded confessions—all extracted by one woman: Detective Kim Mager.

The story was horrifying, but told fairly well. I didn’t care to hear about the author’s past.

Good performance/reading.
The story was well written.
I’ll never understand why, and how, people have the capacity to want someone killed and/or kill another person! Especially for the reasons this main character had.

Historia
As a child growing up in North Korea, Hyeonseo Lee was one of millions trapped by a secretive and brutal communist regime. Her home on the border with China gave her some exposure to the world beyond the confines of the Hermit Kingdom and, as the famine of the 1990s struck, she began to wonder, question and realise that she had been brainwashed her entire life. Given the repression, poverty and starvation she witnessed surely her country could not be, as she had been told, 'the best on the planet'?

Kevin Pierce is as excellent as ever. But the book was mediocre. The story relied too much on the sexual details of this disturbed Amish guy than it did anything else. Cheap.

Historia
An idyllic Hawaiian wedding held the promise of a wonderful future for handsome, athletic Chris Northon, an airline pilot, a confirmed bachelor-turned-devoted family man; and Liysa, an acclaimed surf photographer, loving mother, and aspiring Hollywood screenwriter. But few, including Chris, had seen Liysa's other side - her controlling behavior and dark moods, her insatiable hunger for money and property. And no one anticipated the fatal outcome of a family camping trip in an Oregon forest.

Too much repetition. The reader’s voice made it feel even more boring. I think the author is good, but this book is overrated.

Historia
Two men, each handsome and unusually adept at his chosen work, embodied an element of the great dynamic that characterized America’s rush toward the twentieth century. The architect was Daniel Hudson Burnham, the fair’s brilliant director of works and the builder of many of the country’s most important structures, including the Flatiron Building in New York and Union Station in Washington, D.C. The murderer was Henry H. Holmes, a young doctor who, in a malign parody of the White City, built his “World’s Fair Hotel” just west of the fairgrounds.

It’s ok, not great.
Revisado: 06-30-21
I read this book when it first came out and thought it was amazing. But listening to it now I remember some of the long boring parts about the architecture sections that focus on the disagreements between architects and other World Fair issues. I guess it was easier to read than to listen to it being read. I’m having a difficult time staying focused on it because it gets boring during some of the architecture sections.

Revisado: 05-21-21
The book is so very well written. Jenna let’s us see the inner-most secrets of “Scientology” through her eyes of growing up within this money-making cult and living through it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. I’m so grateful she wrote this book and exposed the scientology SHAM!! How has “scientology” not been outlawed by now?!!! It’s not a religion, it’s a SHAM! Poor Tom Cruise!! What an idiot he is to believe all this $hit!!

A bit boring
Revisado: 03-26-21
The story is interesting, but it felt so dragged out. The beginning is interesting because you’re intrigued by the new story, hoping it will be great. But it falls a bit flat until the middle/end of the story.
It’s definitely not a great book like some of the reviews say.

Historia
For 10 years, the California Interstate 5 highway was haunted by a dangerous serial killer. Incredibly skilled at staying ahead of the investigators as the bodies started to pile up, there wasn't enough evidence to charge the culprit with murder even once he'd been identified. Instead, they had to build a first-degree murder case in a few months while the killer was locked up on an assault conviction. Key to this was a cast of four: Vito Bertocchini, Kay Maulsby, Ray Biondi, and Faye Springer.

I can’t!! Too boring!
Revisado: 11-05-20
I have tried and tried to get into this audiobook, but it is so boring! No character development. No story development. But the worst part is the horrible narrator! He’s bad. I’ve tried starting the chapter over and over again, but I still lose interest because of his monotonous voice and repetitive intonation! I’m returning the book. Don’t recommend.
