Overall, good story, a little lacking

I’m a huge paranormal romance reader, this is definitely YA & a little lacking, but overall a good story. The main character is 16, so I guess I can understand how she can be a little slow to grasp what’s going on sometimes. Plot seemed pretty predictable. I’ll continue listening to the rest of the series, but so far not as good as the bargainer series.

Sarah Maas does it again! And possible even better than TOG & ACOTAR (and Thone of Glass series is my absolute favorite series)!28 hours of pure perfection, I couldn’t stop listening. Every single character is so in depth from Bryce all the way down to Lahaba. If you enjoy SJM series, you will not be disappointed - if you are new to her but enjoy the genre, you will be blown away. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! You never know what to expect from SJM, but you always know it will leave your on the edge of your seat and wanting more.

Intriguing concept!

I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks and don’t normally write reviews but I felt the need to for this one. It is a wonderfully, exciting story and the various narrators are excellent at portraying their characters. However, I almost stopped the book during the first 2-3 chapters because it was excruciating, which I have never thought before, and not what I normally listen to. BUT if you can get through those, I promise you will throughly enjoy this book!

Love the series, but the ending could have been better

I absolutely love Kiera Cass' The Selection series and was thrilled that they continued with The Heir and The Crown.
I thought the narrator was excellent, portraying Edalyn's change of herself throughout the two books. Though I enjoyed the ending, I thought that there could have been more. I felt like it just kind of ended. It needed an epilogue or another book or something to just bring closure to the series for me. What happens after the final event in the series? How does the public react? How does "the one she chooses" handle everything he has been thrust into? It just needed something more for me.
Would I read the series again? Absolutely. Would I read The Crown again? Probably.
Kiera Cass is wonderful and I am saddened to see this series end, as it is probably one of my top five favorites of all time!
