Historia
Praised by Newsweek as a "compelling read" and Library Journal as "accessible and down-to-earth", Dale McGowan’s Parenting Beyond Belief offered freethinking parents everywhere a compassionate introduction to raising caring, ethical children without religious guidance. Now, for the more than 40 million people in the United States who identify themselves as nonreligious, Raising Freethinkers offers solutions to the unique challenges secular parents face and provides specific answers to common questions, as well as over 100 activities for both parents and their children.

Couldn’t get past the first 1/2 hour.

I don’t like overly religious parenting books. The first few minutes of this book taught me that I can’t stand overly secular parenting books either.

Historia
Are you ready to have kids? More and more gay men are turning to adoption and surrogacy to start their own families. An estimated two million American LBGTQ people would like to adopt and an estimated 65,000 adopted children are living with a gay parent. Unlike other parenting books that have whole chapters focusing on things specifically related to mothers (such as how to get the perfect latch when breastfeeding), this parenting book replaces those sections with things relevant to gay dads.

Mostly centered on infants.
Revisado: 09-25-20
This book is primarily centered on universal infant care information, with a little bit in the beginning and end about issues specific gay fathering, and a teeny tiny bit dedicated to parenting older children. While useful for those with infants, it may not be the best resource for those adopting/parenting older children.
