everyone should read this

i really enjoy fiction when it pulls in history, I think it resonates with me and makes the historical more memorable and poignant in my mind and soul. Thanks and kudos to the author, Anita Kopacz, for approaching difficult historical topics, and making them relatable to a wide demographic of Americans. This book is a treasure, and leads the reader through a myriad of emotions.

A must read, especially if you are Sanderson fan.

I loved this book so much! I loved the way the story was presented, and then to hear the author's inspirations for the story at the end was highly satisfying. I am so happy that Brandon Sanderson is about my age (late 40's), which means there will be so many more books throughout my lifetime. I love all his work so much, I just named my two new kittens after charactersin his books. All the secret books so far have been like a candy store as a kid for me.
