Historia
It's been 30 years since the apocalypse and 15 years since the murder of the last human being at the hands of robots. Humankind is extinct. Every man, woman, and child has been liquidated by a global uprising devised by the very machines humans designed and built to serve them. Most of the world is controlled by an OWI - One World Intelligence, the shared consciousness of millions of robots uploaded into one huge mainframe brain.

The Man of Steel, The Man of Tomorrow, and these days, the guy they think can’t carry his own movie. “Is Superman The Greatest Storytelling Challenge?” creators in almost every medium seem to think so. This is an extra special episode because it features THE RETURN OF PRODUCER BILL! Our prodigal son, 1/4th of our Youtube show “Reboot It” and a founding member of Nerd GOAT and The Greatest Pod. He brings immense expertise and passion to this discussion on why The Last Son Of Krypton hasn’t been in a universally praised film since 1978. Why do people find him boring? What can be ...

Great Conversation about getting Superman done right for the big screen. Very thoughtful and full of great rants. I was very happy to see Producer Bill's return. Don't always agree with him, but it's always interesting.

Great Conversation with a lot of knowledge
Revisado: 04-26-22
I always enjoys listening to these guys and their guests whether on their YouTube channel or this podcast. The conversations are always entertaining and full of knowledge and respect for the topics. The opinions expressed are based on knowledge of the subjects, but it's always accessible even if you don't have that knowledge. Ed Greer rants are legendary.

Historia
The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Good for those interested in history, war, tactics
Revisado: 08-04-21
The narrator was good. The book is ancient and so some of the examples used have to be altered for modern day understanding. That said there are a lot of interesting ideas in this book and principles that can be applied to other industries outside of war.

Disappointing
Revisado: 12-24-19
The story started good. I was very interested in the magical world that was being constructed. The characters are likeable. The villain had a lot of potential that seems wasted by the end of this book. I cannot judge to harshly as this is only one book in a series, but the execution of this villain is lacking.
The biggest problem is that the story ends up as two women fighting over a man. The specifics are more complicated, but essentially that's what this story turns into. While I don't object to that being a part of the story, it bothers me that it was such a large part of the narrative when some much potential existed in the world.

Very entertaining
Revisado: 10-06-17
After seeing the movie some years ago, I became interested in the book. I finally go around to listening to it and found it very enjoyable. It is different from the movie and shorter overall than I expected. I enjoyed the humor and sarcasm in the writing and the creative galaxy the writer created. Stephen Fry was an excellent choice for the narration.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway - a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors.

A dream you wont want to wake up from
Revisado: 09-17-17
This was a very imaginative story. The circus is like a dream and the writing reflects that. I enjoyed the story very much and was not expecting it to end as it did. The only real problem is that the reader, Jim Dale, made some of the younger characters seem older. Otherwise his style fit the story very well.

Compelling characters, comedy & drama
Revisado: 05-18-17
The narration and inner monologue of our main character is funny and fascinating. All of the characters are uniquely written and the reader does a good job of distinguishing them with his voice and cadence.
There is an element of mistery to the characters that holds you as much as the main story. I want to learn more about the characters and see where the story takes them.

Historia
Matheus Taylor didn't ask to be murdered. To be fair, the percentage of people actually asking to be murdered is probably small enough to be safely ignored, but he felt it was worth stating regardless. His life might have been ordinary, but it was his life and he wasn't done with it yet. Quin didn't care. A 1,700-year-old Roman, Quintus Livius Saturnius had a different view of morality than most people. Killing Matheus and hijacking his undead existence seemed perfectly acceptable to him.

Very Enjoyable
Revisado: 04-28-17
This was a fun read. The inner monologue from the main character is funny and insightful. All the characters stand out and feel alive. I was engaged the whole way through. The only real problem I had was with some of the narration. As there are a lot of characters some of the voices stared to sound the same. Also there are points where characters are not speaking English and I wish I had a hard copy of the book to check annotations. Otherwise, this book is a good time.
