Historia
During her multi-book investigation into understanding human nature, Gretchen Rubin realized that by asking the seemingly dry question “How do I respond to expectations?” we gain explosive self-knowledge. She discovered that based on their answer, people fit into Four Tendencies: Upholders, Questioners, Obligers, and Rebels. Our Tendency shapes every aspect of our behavior, so using this framework allows us to make better decisions, meet deadlines, suffer less stress, and engage more effectively.

I have re-listened to this book 4x in the last 2 weeks. I have a notebook full of notes and WOW!!!! I'm a firm believer in: when you know better, you can do better!
I am a spot on Rebel!!!! I have had to apologize to SO many people within my organization that I simply wasnt working with properly.
I'm excited to use this knowledge, for life.
thank you thank you Gretchen!!!!!!!!

When it comes to the “hard seasons” of life—the death of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job—transformation seems impossible when grief and uncertainty dominate your days. Especially when, as Didn’t See that Coming reveals, no one asks to have their future completely rearranged for them. But, as Rachel Hollis writes, it is up to you how you come through your pain—you can come through changed for the better, having learned and grown, or stuck in place where your identity becomes rooted in what hurt you.

Her beauty almost certainly saved her from the rising Nazi party and led to marriage with an Austrian arms dealer. Underestimated in everything else, she overheard the Third Reich's plans while at her husband's side, understanding more than anyone would guess. She devised a plan to flee in disguise from their castle, and the whirlwind escape landed her in Hollywood. She became Hedy Lamarr, screen star.

Incredible!
Revisado: 07-16-19
I did not vote for President Obama. I do not recognize as a typical "Democrat". I definitely lean more towards the Republican side of issues... but this woman... she is amazing! I admire her. She's graceful, gritty, educated and a no-nensense kind of woman! I enjoyed hearing of her parents, grandparents, family life prior to politics and during. All high-achieving mothers can relate to this book!! we are all 'in a constant state of calibration' and I'm grateful for that! Grateful for a woman who SHOWS that you can be 100% supportive of other's dreams and goals (friends, family and spouses), 100% involved with your children (making clear that she could help on the campaign trail but only if she stayed close enough to home in order to tuck her girls into bed every night) and 100% focused and driven in her own endeavors (outside of her children and husband).
All political views and associations aside, I'm so thankful for this book, at this point in my life!!

I'M STILL IN AWE
Revisado: 05-16-15
Most memorable thing learned (this time around) is the power of a simple "NO". In my business we say "if it doesn't serve my Lord, edify my family or build my business, the answer is No." but hearing it from someone outside my circle is very reassuring!
Also, I will absolutely be taking Mr. Hardy's advice and re-read this about 5 more times once I receive the book from Amazon (p.s. the Amazon story is not something I've heard before... makes me love them even more!!)
