Historia
When five college friends cross America in a minivan to find themselves, they chance upon a road that isn’t on any map. They can’t resist exploring it. The van breaks down. They find a town, a massive trailer park steeped in squalor. The town isn’t on any map either. They find people in town. They’ll wish they hadn’t. The only sanctuary is the Big House - a giant mansion at the center of town that appears to be abandoned, only all the lights come on at night. Inside the Big House is the secret of the town. Inside, they’ll finally find themselves. They won’t like what they find.

If I had paid for this I would be mad. However I got it for free and listen to it while putting a piece of furniture together so it was a decent short story for that.

Historia
The finale of the second series of Deadlocked. The High Rollers are ready to take revenge against the forces aligned against them. A hard and long winter has forced them into hiding, but has also given them a respite from something else…something far worse than anything they’ve battled so far. The Noah Initiative has begun, and the land will soon be devastated by a new virus. The people lined up against the High Rollers are fighting among themselves as well, and everyone is at risk. This isn’t just a fight for survival anymore, it’s a fight to save the entire human race.

if you like the series, don't read this book
Revisado: 04-30-20
I love the Deadlocked series. I have read & listened to all of them multiple times... except this one. There is NO WAY Billy would use the word 'labyrinthian'. This book is filled with a bunch of words like that that the characters have never used in any of the previous books. It almost feels like it wasn't written by the same author that wrote the other books in the series. There are a lot less zombies, and a lot more scheming and random weird unnecessary plots in this book. Just save your time, read the other books in the series but skip this. Read A.R. Wise's other novel series'. Phenomenal author. This book just really sucked.
