Historia
When CIA officer Craig Norton glimpses an unexplainable object in the sky over Mongolia, he can’t quite believe it. Frankly, he isn’t sure Langley will either. Despite his misgivings, Craig reports the sighting in a cable to headquarters detailing the incident. Fast-forward fifteen years. Craig is still reeling from the report that tanked his career and his personal life. That fleeting moment on the Mongolian steppe made him a pariah at the Agency, and he still hasn’t recovered. At this point, he doubts he ever will.

Excellent
Revisado: 10-29-23
I love all of Alma Katsu’s novels. She is a brilliant author. I really enjoy reading her books about the CIA and spy world which she knows about because she worked for them and lived in Northern VA and Maryland so can write about the area and it brings back memories as I’m from Northern Virginia. This book was great. I loved the story and it parallels what is occurring with the government declassifying UFOs. All her books are recommended.

Absolutely brilliant

Love that Sir Patrick Stewart reads his own biography. He is such a talented thespian and I adore him. When he did Shakespeare readings during the pandemic it was so kind and wonderful. Great book. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy Ms. Katu’s novels about “spies”.
Revisado: 05-08-23
She brings years of experience working for the CIA and living in the DC area. I really enjoy the novel when I can recognize and imagine the places in the DC and Virginia area that I have been to and lived in. I highly recommend all of her books. The Hunger, The Deep, Red Widow, and Red London. Also looking forward to reading her novels The Taker, The Reckoning, and The Descent. I still need to read the Fervor as well. She also writes short stories. Highly recommended and very personable and nice.

Leslie Jordan is a national treasure. I was heartbroken when he left us so early. I'm glad he shared so much with us and made our lives so much better during the civic lockdown. its great he reads his own book telling the stories. #lovelightleslie

Historia
Lyndsey was once a top handler in the Moscow Field Station, where she was known as the "human lie detector" and praised for recruiting some of the most senior Russian officials. But now, three Russian assets have been exposed - including one of her own - and the CIA is convinced there's a mole in the department. With years of work in question and lives on the line, Lyndsey is thrown back into life at the agency, this time tracing the steps of those closest to her.

Excellent novel that keeps you wondering.
Revisado: 05-13-21
I love this book and the narrator is excellent for this novel. Alma Katsu is a talented author and so nice and takes time to get to know her readers. What I really like is this book gives you a glimpse into the workings of the CIA and the intelligence community since the author was an employee of the intelligence sector of the government. I also like the protagonist of the story is a female lead. We need more female role models.
