Historia
From the outrageously filthy and oddly innocent comedienne and star of the powerful 2015 film I Smile Back Sarah Silverman comes a memoir—her first book—that is at once shockingly personal, surprisingly poignant, and still pee-in-your-pants funny. If you like Sarah's television show The Sarah Silverman Program, or memoirs such as Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and Artie Lange's Too Fat to Fish, you'll love The Bedwetter.

Short but good!
Revisado: 01-22-16
I like her honesty and brashness, which is her comedy anyways! I like how she is open about stuff people find taboo to talk about, sex, porn, and bedwetting (the porn is very short thing, just mentioned, but the fact she talks about it and what not is rare to find someone with balls enough to do it!)
the only thing that bugged me a little is that the middle of the book seems more like a big 'in my defense'. Where the network or two screw her over by manipulating situations and letting her take the fall. Where she also did not get a chance to really defend herself or prepare herself, I cant blame her for wanting to set the record straight and it points out the evil of a studio to get ratings. But still a little jumbled in that section.
Otherwise, its a little to short, I'd love to hear more of her stories! But still, a good and funny read if you are ok with brash comedy. Meaning, if you get sensitive over dumb little things then you probably shouldnt read this book.

So, at first I wasnt sure. I wasnt liking the lead female too much, seemed far fetched and unrealistic but I bet people like this do exist. But then it jumps up to an older her which I really like her character development. Anyways, just great book with characters that evolve, change, and grow.

Historia
At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

Really is a great book
Revisado: 11-30-15
I love the story, the narrations, the people, its just a really good book of that day and age. The women, the men, the babies! You get every emotion in this book. I do wish the book covered more of the actually author. I know its not about her but about her job growing up as a midwife. But I would love to learned more about her personally. Like how and when she met her husband and if she ever did have kids and what that was like. Being a midwife giving birth that is. Over all, i will listen to this one again. A gentle lovely read!

Charley Davidson isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill grim reaper. She's more of a paranormal private eye/grim reaper extraordinaire. However, she gets sidetracked when the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, moves in next door. To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case. Charley has vowed to stay away from him until she can find out the truth…but then dead women start appearing in her apartment, one after another, each lost, confused, and terrified beyond reason.

Over all just FANTASTIC
Revisado: 11-30-15
This one diffidently picks up and runs with the ball. The ending is a great cliff hanger but satisfying none the less. The character developing for everyone in the book is progressing beautifully. And Charlie! She is finally adapting and becoming a little harder. You are seeing her transform as she grows into being a reaper and learning the ropes. I would think that would make anyone change, evolve, and grow.
Some really deep "oh no Charlie!" scenes in this too. Like Oh it that really going to happen.... And again, more feelings with the departed. The author is fantastic at covering every aspect of emotions in a book. The performance as always, brilliant!
I truly think this would make a great T.V. series. As long as they actually follow the darn books that is, not take the name and the characters general idea and run with it. No actually let Charlie and all of them come to life. It would be awesome!

Historia
Sometimes being the grim reaper really is that. Grim. And since Charley's last case went so awry, she has taken a couple months off to wallow in the wonders of self-pity. But when a woman shows up on her doorstep convinced someone is trying to kill her, Charley has to force herself to rise above. Or at least get dressed. She quickly realizes something is amiss when everyone the woman knows swears she's insane. The more they refute the woman's story, the more Charley believes it. In the meantime, the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, has been cleared of all charges.

Revisado: 11-16-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the whole series, its is amazingly well written and comical. Its a great balance of romance, sci fi, and just greatness. It isnt a smut book which I love and find so hard to find other books where sex is just the main focus. These two have undeniable chemistry but its isnt the whole book. Huge props for the perfect balance.
What other book might you compare Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet to and why?
I wouldn't, personally, I have never read a series about the Grim Reaper, and I love this concept.
Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Oh yeah, she and these books go together perfectly. I could not imagine another narrator narrating these at all. I hope Lorelei King always sticks around.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There are reactions yes. Laughing yes and at the same time some deep feels. Its just a great balance. I do find myself getting annoyed with Charlie now. She knows she has powers and instead of trying to figure them out and teach herself or experiment, she just keeps going on and getting in bad situations. She also really needs to sit down and tell her family and friends what is really going on. A certain grey eyed man needs to be sat down too and straightened out.
Any additional comments?
I just started the next book, very excited but also have some high hopes charlie gets her crap together. Meaning starts to really figure out what she can do and tells her family whats going on. Her constantly getting hurt and them not knowing must suck, and of course maybe if she manned up and learned more about her abilities, maybe she wouldn't get so darn hurt all the time.

Historia
Paranormal private eye. Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back in Darynda Jones' Third Grave Dead Ahead! And she’s drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the parthuman, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for all eternity, but come on.

What did you love best about Third Grave Dead Ahead?
Honestly I listened to this and went straight into the forth one. So haha, i can't say. Its just so good! Her series is awesome and the narration is perfect.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Third Grave Dead Ahead?
Its all jumbled now since I went into the next one and have already moved onto number 5! But I love Artemis, my new favorite thing, i really really hope that Artemis doesnt 'die' at any point. If you know what I mean
Which scene was your favorite?
Anything with her and almost getting killed! HA, I know not nice but she always gets to figure something new about herself out and I love her dog.

Revisado: 09-17-15
If you could sum up It Wasn't Your Fault in three words, what would they be?
Hopeful, compassionate, understanding
What was one of the most memorable moments of It Wasn't Your Fault?
Just, whenever you can relate to it, the way she just almost seems to be like this is you isnt it, you do this, dont you? But you know, its okay, here is why and here's what we do next. Look at from this angle and this point of view.
What about Kate Rudd’s performance did you like?
Perfect, she was gentle and sweet. Made the books compassion come out. It was great
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
All of it, I have to go through it again though, it's a lot to take in even though I listened to it for more than a week. I found myself having to take breaks and listen to other things. Because she hits so close to home and is so soft and gentle about it, I found myself emotionally raw a few times. Just had to take this one slow. I will listen many times to this one. For the help its given and her words, she herself being a survivor, really hit deep.
Any additional comments?
If you have any abuse in your life, this is a great book to read to find a deeper understanding and more love for yourself.

Revisado: 09-17-15
Where does Never Seduce a Scot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the better romance ones, it wasnt a smut book but actually a story. Which is what I like, hence why I try to read into things a bit before buying.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Nee, she's interesting character but I also like her main squeeze for obvious reasons
What does Kirsten Potter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Yes, I really like her, I will not hesitate to listen to her reading things. She did a great job.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I tried to, but have only limited time in a day, I finished it in two days
Any additional comments?
I will look into her other books, she is a good romance novelist that isnt just a 'sex sells' kinda book. At least this one wasn't, i have no idea about the others!

The favorite book of William Burroughs. A journey into the hobo underworld, freight hopping around the still Wild West, becoming a highwayman and member of the yegg (criminal) brotherhood, getting hooked on opium, doing stints in jail or escaping, often with the assistance of crooked cops or judges. Our lost history revived. With an introduction by Burroughs. A BookSense 77 selection.

Personally one of my favorite series
Revisado: 09-07-15
What made the experience of listening to Second Grave on the Left the most enjoyable?
So far I'm really enjoying this series! Interesting concept and entertaining!
What did you like best about this story?
The narrator is great, really brings them to life, and the story is funny, comical, yet serious. Just great balance
Which character – as performed by Lorelei King – was your favorite?
The main female character and her secretary
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
They should make this into movies, but I think there is what, 8 books? That would be hard to do!
Any additional comments?
I can't wait to keep reading. Comparing the first to the second, the first was better for me. The second seems more like a filler, like filling in some spots and seemed to jump around and go by really quickly. I think book three will be awesome though, like this book was the build up for a better book three. SO i'm hopeful!
