The satirical stupidity of the characters was quite clear as a plot device, yet at times exasperating. However, all was saved, in my experience, by the excellent quality of the narrator, Jonathan Cecil.

Another excellent story and performance!

I love how Elin Hilderbrand crafts her character development so that eventually even her most flawed individuals have my sympathy and support. She has a special ability to portray each person with traits of universal ability to relate ~ hopes and fears, triumphs and tragedies, insecurities and points of pride in achievement. The foibles that make us human, and the moments of greatness in rising above those faults of character ~ reveal a window of insight into what it is to be human, to suffer, strive and grow. This is just part of the genius of this author’s work. Not to mention entertaining and engaging ~ thank you for another great book! Now if only I had an editor to clean up my grammar and composition!😂
