Poor production of an otherwise good work.
Revisado: 07-16-19
Another reviewer mentioned it, but I thought he was exaggerating. I was wrong. The narrator will stop mid-sentence or pause before a sentence to take in an audible breath of air. No one thought to edit these out?! It’s so distracting! I give the impression that the subject matter is boring or painful for the narrator.

Historia
Are you writing a novel, but having trouble getting your first draft written? You've heard of "outlining," but that sounds too rigid for you. You've heard of "organic writing," but that seems a bit squishy to you. Take a look at the wildly popular Snowflake Method - a battle-tested series of 10 steps that jump-start your creativity and help you quickly map out your story. All around the world, novelists are using the Snowflake Method right now to ignite their imaginations and get their first drafts down on paper. In this book, you'll follow the story of a fictitious novelist as she learns to tap into the amazing power of the Snowflake Method. Almost magically, she finds her story growing from a simple idea into a deep and powerful novel. And she finds her novel changing her - turning her into a stronger, more courageous person.

Painful
Revisado: 01-23-19
Only Chapter 19 was necessary. The rest of the book is fluffed up with a fictional story meant to frame the process, but it undermines the promise of the book: an instruction manual for a writing method. I understand it was also meant to illustrate the process, but when 90% of the book is unnecessary, it leaves the reader feeling cheated.
As if that wasn’t enough, the audio quality leaves much to be desired. The narrator also has a habit of breaking up every sentence into small chunks of words. It’s as if he recorded only 3-4 words at a time.

Historia
Stella Ainsley leaves poverty behind when she quits her engineering job aboard the Stalwart to become a governess on a private ship. On the Rochester, there’s no water ration, more books than one person could devour in a lifetime, and an AI who seems more friend than robot. But no one warned Stella that the ship seems to be haunted, nor that it may be involved in a conspiracy that could topple the entire interstellar fleet.

Beautifully written and exquisitely executed! I found this book via Alexa Donne’s YouTube channel on writing. She gives great advice, but this book is proof she know knows what she’s talking about.

Historia
Buddhism has captivated many millions of people around the world, its vitality and adaptability enabling it to transform the civilizations of India, Southeast Asia, Tibet, China, Korea, and Japan, and also become a lively component in the cultures of Europe, Australia, and the Americas. But have you ever wondered how a religion that doesn't even have a god could have accomplished this?

A fascinating exploration of Buddhism and its schools
Revisado: 10-26-17
A must for anyone who is exploring Buddhism. Professor Eckel breathes new life into how Buddhism has adapted and spread. His passion for the subject is infectious! I’ve already listened to it twice. This series of lectures will definitely be a set I revisit again and again!

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Historia
One day, 14-year-old Sophie Amundsen comes home from school to find two notes in her mailbox, with one question on each: "Who are you?" and "Where does the world come from?" From that irresistible beginning, Sophie becomes obsessed with questions that take her far beyond what she knows of her Norwegian village. Through those letters, she enrolls in a kind of correspondence course, covering Socrates to Sartre, with a mysterious philosopher, while receiving letters addressed to another girl.

Avoid this particular recording
Revisado: 09-15-17
While the book itself is wonderful, it should be mentioned that this recording has missing sections (not abridged, but actual dropped audio) and some areas where chapters or sections seem to have been swapped.
For the most part, you'll be able in infer what has happened in the story, but it really is enough to take you out of the experience.
