A good listen even though it gets a little complicated to follow at times. The ending felt right.

Historia
Quinn Quicksilver was born a mystery—abandoned at three days old on a desert highway in Arizona. Raised in an orphanage, never knowing his parents, Quinn had a happy if unexceptional life. Until the day of “strange magnetism.” It compelled him to drive out to the middle of nowhere. It helped him find a coin worth a lot of money. And it practically saved his life when two government agents showed up in the diner in pursuit of him. Now Quinn is on the run from those agents and who knows what else, fleeing for his life.

Compelling
Revisado: 02-02-22
The usual superb story unraveling from the imagination of DK. A subtle narrative for today’s fabrication of fake reality by powerful people who can’t abide disagreement. And a great story, as always, with a thin touch of the supernatural. Fast, fun, thought provoking.

Historia
A mutating plague is spreading. It's killing two of every three people on Earth. And Mike Crenshaw is totally unprepared. From the world of The Traveler Series comes a new cast of characters, new obstacles, and the same devastating, world-altering virus which plunges society into the depth of a dystopian hell. Unprepared begins in the hours before The Scourge takes hold. As if ripped from today's headlines, governments react too slowly and the disease spreads too fast. Quarantines don't work. Infrastructure fails. People die.

Hello mediocre fiction
Revisado: 08-18-21
Nothing noteworthy about this story and certainly not the amateurish narration. The plot is predictable, the narration stilted. Violence is used to move the story along. It doesn't work.
Listened to about 70 percent of the book and ran out of motivation to continue.

Historia
The Trellixian Empire was constantly expanding, seeking new worlds for its ever-increasing population. If worlds were discovered with existing sentient populations, they were cleansed to make room for colonization. Hundreds of budding civilizations had been eliminated by Trellixian battle fleets. On Earth, years in the past, a scout ship fleeing from the Trellixians crashed. Scientists investigating the wreckage discovered what the Trellixians had done to the world the scout ship escaped from. They also discovered it was only a matter of time before the Trellixians reached Earth.

Unable to finish
Revisado: 12-07-18
The story could be interesting enough, but the author's execution of the alien invasion genre is poorly written, predictable and eventually boring. Constant repetition (descriptions, phrases and character commentary) makes it feel like sections were copied and pasted, copied and pasted, copied and pasted...
Mr. Weil, you need a good editor.

Nobody knew where it came from. Nobody knew why it came. When an eight-foot-tall man made of stone appears in the middle of a busy city center one July afternoon, two-bit (and antisocial) reporter Andy Pointer assumes it's just a publicity stunt. Indeed, so does everyone else...until the Stone Man begins to walk, heading silently through the wall of the nearest building, flattening it, and killing several people inside as a result.

... how many people thought this book deserved 5 stars. Pedestrian writing, lame plot and mediocre performance.
Giving it two stars is generous.

Worth a Listen
Revisado: 02-20-18
If you could sum up Pandemic in three words, what would they be?
Entertaining believable story
What did you like best about this story?
Moves quickly from scene to scene, not to complex to follow, even detailed science passages.
Any additional comments?
Not a prize winning novel, but better than a lot of similar books on the market that I never completed listening to or reading.
