Historia
The King James Version was written in 1611 by order of King James I as the official translation for the Church of England. The version was created to eliminate any errors in previous translations, and to put the book into common language useful for all people. The book was translated from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. The version was re-edited in 1769 and has remained largely untouched for the centuries after.

Not able to choose book or chapter
Revisado: 11-17-24
I love the narrator and the King James Version. It's very easy and soothing to listen to. The only problem I have is that there is no way to choose which book within the Bible you want to listen to or which chapter. It just reads the Bible straight through from Genisis to Revelation and will simple pick up where it left off each time you listen to it. Great if you are wanting to read the Bible straight through but you can't jump around at all.

Historia
Addressing the hard issue of suicide simply and pastorally, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and Jason Lewis, MIC, draw from the teaching of the church, the message of divine mercy, and their own experience of losing a loved one to offer listeners two key forms of hope: hope for the salvation and for the healing of those left behind. This book is a must-listen for all those trying to make sense out of such a difficult subject. Remarkably, the spiritual principles of healing and redemption apply not only to a loss from suicide, but by any cause of death.

Historia
Do you know the 12 proven steps to write book descriptions to make your book sell? Nonfiction authors often neglect being creative when writing book descriptions. They imagine that the great content inside the book will make it a success. What a joke! Writing book descriptions is a form of copy writing - it's advertising! You are not just telling what is inside the covers. You are telling the potential reader or listener why they should buy the book.

I love Misery!
Revisado: 11-04-18
This is one of my favorite books by Stephen King. The narrator Lindsay Crouse did such an amazing job reading the book I didn't want to stop listening. The book is way better than the movie, and I also loved the movie, it's a classic. The book is also a classic Stephen King novel, not quite as grizzly and gruesome as some of his thrillers can be, but the characters are so well developed that you connect to them personally. It's just one of his best books in my opinion.

Welcome to 1968 - a revolution in a book. Essays, memoirs, and more by fourteen award-winning authors offer unique perspectives on one of the world’s most tumultuous years.... To capture that extraordinary year, editors Marc Aronson and Susan Campbell Bartoletti created an anthology that showcases many genres of nonfiction. Some contributors use a broad canvas, others take a close look at a moment, and matched essays examine the same experience from different points of view.

Revisado: 11-04-18
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I am a history buff! I thought the narrators Jeff Cummings & Adenrele Ojo did an amazing job, I listened to the book in two sessions and will listen again to see if I pick up anything new. The short stories about the tumultuous year 1968 are well thought out and speak to ones heart and mind. We must learn from our past and this one year, 1968, when I was just two years old, teaches us many life lessons. The short history lessons are not just focused on America either; France and Mexico are weaved in and I learned new things from the information shared. This book leaves you thinking and hoping we never have to re-live another year like 1968. It was a turning point for the whole world.

A book about losing a loved pet
Revisado: 11-04-18
I thought that the narrator Steve McCutcheon did a good job reading this book, although I did speed the book up to 1.25 to make it a faster read, per my personal taste. The book is the story of a dog named Rascal who was a beloved family pet that was kept up til his death and how the family worked to overcome the loss. We all love our pets like family, they are our fur babies and Rascal was a very loved family dog. Perhaps this little book will help someone else who is also grieving the loss of a beloved family pet, much advice for the grieving is provided.
