Camosy's book draws from the Consistent Life Ethic (CLE) and Pope Francis' culture of encounter to offer us a vision of the good and a vision of what life could look like that could transform our community's. He lays out the CLE and its key principles very clearly and then applies them to such crucial issues as sex and sex cultures, reproduction, abortion, duties to the poor, immigration, ecology, non-human animals, state sponsored violence. He acknowledges the complexity of addressing each of these issues while still offering a unifying vision that has the potential to invite us out of our polarized and polarizing silos into a new kind of engagement with one another. It's well worth a read (or a listen).

The performance of the text is done by the author, who reads it very well and very clearly. The content is very accessible and is easy to follow by listening. I will note that the print version has very helpful endnotes and appendices that scholars and teachers probably won't want to miss. If that's you, consider the print book or e-book instead of the audio version.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Tempest to be better than the print version?

I purchased this to "hear along" as I read the text. Although the performances really bring the characters to life, it may be hard to follow without the text in front of you.

Any additional comments?

I hesitated to buy this because other reviewers complained about storm noise, etc. That is really only an issue in the very first scene, and the speech is clear enough over the storm. (And, let's be honest: the play is "The Tempest"; the title incident deserves to be heard a bit, right?) The bulk of it is good, clear speech with music interspersed to indicate scene changes and/or the coming and going of spirits (especially Ariel).

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story really only begins with the return of a boy who had disappeared. The author does an incredible job setting up believable characters and the real drama: will each of them and the family as a whole survive the new sets of circumstances that follow from Justin's return?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Remember Me Like This?

I won't give it away, but the epilogue raises all the right questions and made me want to read it all over again.

What does Mark Bramhall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Honestly, I was so focused on the story, I hardly noticed the performance either way. And I mean that as a compliment.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really, but I loved the way it drew me in to the characters and their choices, their means of coping with the new situation.

Any additional comments?

Really excellent story.
