Amazing career, amazing autobiography.

As a lifelong fan of Phil Collins and Genesis, this long overdue memoir provided great insight into the man behind the legend and the drum kit. Pulling no punches, Collins readily admits to his failures but also takes great pride in his accomplishments. His music has provided me with great comfort over the years and it's good to know he's now content with what he's done.

Exhaustive, detailed look at a cinematic masterpiece

I thought I knew everything about CITIZEN KANE, but there were some great stories here. Most importantly the book dispels the often cited reasons behind the film's failure upon its original 1941 release. Very revealing and interesting.

I learned a lot about the life and influences on Billy Joel's remarkable catalog. As a lifelong fan, I don't think I'll be able to listen to his music without remembering the context in which it was created from now on.
