Very well written and informative. I will be listening to it again, soon. The foul language is only used by evil characters, as would happen in actuality. The main characters are good in thought and deed.

We are already prepared for hard times in our family. We have a year's supply of food, hygiene stuff, laundry detergent, etc., that we use and rotate on a regular basis. We are not zombie apocalypse preppers, just prepared for any kind of hard times that could hit our family.

What do you know? A book can be written that is fun and exciting without filth, foul language and inappropriate content. My kids (early to mid teens) loved it. I did too actually! Can't wait for the sequel.

The story was very interesting and exciting as I was listening with my kids. Then out of nowhere, part way into the book, starts some very bad language. We hoped it was isolated and wouldn't continue especially as the story itself was so good. However, it didn't stop and got worse. What we did was buy the hard copy of the book and I finished reading it out loud because like I said, the story line is very exciting and I could skip the bad words so the kids could finish the story. Something else you may want to know is that about half way through a romance starts that is described in a way that made me cringe and I skipped over that as well. Unmarried physical romance should not be glorified at any age let alone age 15 with a "beautiful" girl and "hero" type guy which every kid wants to be. As an aside, the "gorgeousness" of the lead girl is way overemphasized. "Gorgeous" girls didn't earn that somehow. They were accidentally born that way. Have your children read the Uglies Series. It is very good at undefining "pretty" and they are very thrilling action/fantasy/dystopia books that have a very few mild words like rhymes with 'kissed'. And in the second of the series a young couple lives together but they are literally brainwashed that it is okay and even encouraged by the dystopian society to do whatever you like (sounds familiar?) but nothing inappropriate is ever described or even hinted. Just that they live together.

This is a great book!...engrossing and inspiring with a very satisfying ending. As the story works it's way through the lives and perspectives of each character, I couldn't help comparing some of them to people I know and it actually gave me a greater ability to assume that the motivations of others are good, at least as good as they can be considering unknown circumstances.

The book is very realistic as I have personally experienced similar miraculous circumstances that God has brought about to bring people together.
