Historia
Journalist Joe Oakes makes a living exposing supernatural hoaxes, but when he visits a secretive religious cult on a remote Scottish island, everything he thought he knew is overturned. While investigating a strange apparition caught briefly on film wandering the lonely beaches of Pig Island, so deformed it can hardly be human, Oakes crosses a border of electrical fencing, toxin-filled oil drums, and pigs' skulls to infiltrate the territory of the group's isolated founder, Malachi Dove.

Awful!
Revisado: 03-21-24
I usually like Mo Hayder books and so I tried this one. I have to say it was the stupidest book I’ve read in years. I would not want somebody else to waste their money.

Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Nothing but violence
Revisado: 01-22-24
I have always liked Jack Reacher books until this one. The last two weren’t great, but they were still fun. This one had a super weak and unrealistic story, and it was just an excuse to have one violent episode after another throughout the entire thing. I thought the story was lame, and I hated the violence, and I thought the book was terrible.
