Great audio book. Loved the faery content but a few of the newer characters I found myself not caring about them so the book seemed a little long.

Historia
It begins as an innocent trip to the deli-mart, on a quest for nachos. But Stephanie Plum and her partner, Lula, are clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. A robbery leads to an explosion, which leads to the destruction of yet another car. It would be just another day in the life of Stephanie Plum, except that she becomes the target of a gang—and of an even scarier, more dangerous force that comes to Trenton. With super bounty hunter Ranger acting more mysteriously than ever (and the tension with vice cop Joe Morelli getting hotter), she finds herself with a decision to make.

let down...
Revisado: 10-09-20
This was my first Charlaine Harris book and sad to say I won't be continuing with this series. Oddly, I'm pretty sure that I didn't like the story but I really hated the way that the voice actor read the book. It was read so mundanely! The main character just seemed bored the whole book. I might have like the main character more if she at least was animated somewhat by the voice actor. It was hard to get through it but also I felt the writing was lacking. The sex scene comes out of no where and the sex seemed like it was written by someone who has heard about sex or watched porn but never actually had sex! lol

With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

How had I not heard of this series? and a movie? This was a great book! Can't wait to watch the movie now. The book was so funny, had me LOLing many times. Stephanie and her Mom and Grandma are great entertainment. The LOVE relationship was really fun to hear too! I hope it goes on into the series. Plan to continue with the audio books - they are done really well!
Also, the writing seemed more like a script for a film than a book which made for a fantastic read!

Ice Cream Shop??? Yes, please! :D
Revisado: 08-28-19
Another great story by Molly Harper! I will continue to return to Mystic Bayou as long as Molly writes these stories! I love the town and it's characters. The characters seem so real, the feel like friends. This series is what I am calling "Romance Cozy Mystery". Although this novella has no murder, the other stories do.
Ingrid opens a Creamery...this was fun to read about! Very creative.
Favorite thing about Mystic Bayou - Zed! He is sooo adorable and funny. I just love him and his funny ways!

Not for me...
Revisado: 08-21-19
Unfortunately, I found the way the narrator performed this audio frustrating. She kept making wierd noises beyond the stuttering of the main character. Had to bump up the listen to 1.50-2.00 just to not listen to the awful throat sounds.
The storyline wasn't bad and I may have enjoyed this because of all the character voices and the background podcasts sounds but again the stuttering and the additional "struggles of stuttering" just too much.
Also, maybe this is YA hype and cool to like this book but I found I did not like the main character. I can not put my finger on why, I just never ended up caring about her. This is not a audio that I would recommend but I will say I am not much of a YA fan anymore. So not sure I would be the right person to ask for rec's of YA books. lol
