In 1985, Edward Shank famously gunned down the Beacon Hill Butcher, ending the serial killer’s reign of terror over the city of Seattle. But now in his eighties, Edward’s action-packed glory days are long behind him. The decorated former Seattle police chief has given up his high-maintenance Victorian home to his grandson Matt for a quiet life at the nearby Sweetbay Village Retirement Residence, where mac-n-cheese Wednesdays have become the highlight of his week.

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and had great character development. However, I did feel like it was a little to long but that's okay because it had a solid story line. I would like to read more by this author in the future.

Pretty good
Revisado: 03-03-21
I felt like this was a little too dragged out, could have been much shorter. The characters were one dimensional. That being sad I was thrown for a loop at the twist in the end.
I did not predict it. It's crazy how deceitful people can be.

I really enjoyed this. I did not find it predictable at all, it kept me intrigued from beginning to end. I would definitely read more from this author in the future. I would have given this five stars but I had an issue with the fact that the characters are supposed to be close to 40 years old but they act like 20-somethings. if you're interested give this one a shot you won't regret

Really good
Revisado: 08-24-20
A tough read to get through. I was not expecting that ending. Its disgusting how so many rape victims go unbelieved, our justice system is seriously broken. I felt like this could have been a couple of chapters shorter, it was a little dragged-out in my opinion but overall this is a solid four-star read.
