Historia
Littleport, Maine, has always felt like two separate towns: an ideal vacation enclave for the wealthy, whose summer homes line the coastline, and a simple harbor community for the year-round residents whose livelihoods rely on service to the visitors. Typically, fierce friendships never develop between a local and a summer girl - but that’s just what happens with visitor Avery Greer and Littleport resident Sadie Loman. Each summer for almost a decade, the girls are inseparable - until Sadie is found dead.

I liked this book a lot. It's a light read yet a great thriller. It follows the main character who tries to uncover the mystery of the death of her close friend. A very good story with a twist at the end. It really kept me hooked. Loved listening to it.

The story of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is very difficult to describe. Usually we give some information about the audiobook, but in this case we think that would spoil the listening. We think it's important that you start to listen without knowing what it is about.

Despite its flaws and inaccuracies, it's a daunting read. I went into the book with not many expectations and I came out of it impacted in many different ways. It's a good read. I didn't expect the crazy plot twist in the end and my heart sank when I read it. It is a powerful book with an even powerful message.

Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

Take me back.
Revisado: 10-14-19
All throughout this book I was very skeptical about it but now looking back and putting all the pieces together, it's a great read. It perfectly portrays the story of an artist, a band and about some major emotions. Though you might have seen or heard this kind of a story in many of the biopics about musicians or band lately but still this story had an originality of it's own and kudos to TJR for maintaining that originality. Very well written and a big shout-out to the narrator who did a fantastic job.

Historia
Discovered in the attic in which she spent the last years of her life, Anne Frank’s remarkable diary has since become a world classic - a powerful reminder of the horrors of war and an eloquent testament to the human spirit. In 1942, with Nazis occupying Holland, a 13-year-old Jewish girl and her family fled their home in Amsterdam and went into hiding. For the next two years, until their whereabouts were betrayed to the Gestapo, they and another family lived cloistered in the “Secret Annex” of an old office building.

Selma Blair did it justice.
Revisado: 10-14-19
Not the best WWII account I have come across but a fun read. Actually, this was not supposed to be much about WWII and if you dig in with that expectation you are gonna like it. This book familiarizes us with the many emotions and life experiences a young girl goes through. Adding the fact that she was alive during the world's worst episode just gives her emotions a different edge. I am glad how they preserved the actual diary and didn't try to tweak the raw emotions which are documented. I am also marveled by the fact how smart Anne was and she understood her circumstances so well.

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Best of this year!
Revisado: 10-14-19
This is one of my most favorite books of this year, well whose isn't?
A very gripping story that will make you fall in love with Kya. In the first few chapters if you're not in love with Kya maybe this book isn't for you.
I don't want to write a long review because that will make me write some spoilers or details I don't want future readers to know in advance.
It's a great book and will keep you hooked right to the very end. Must-Read.

All the magic is in Trevor's voice.
Revisado: 10-14-19
It really matters how a story is told, and Trevor Noah's voice definitely kicks the whole experience up a notch. he is a beautiful narrator.
The book is a beautifully crafted memoir that will keep you hooked right up to the end. This book is an insider's account of growing up during the Apartheid. It mentions the struggles of everyday life and how people navigated them. It talks about trauma which comes with a broken family and the horrific domestic abuse scene which linger sin our society till date. This book makes you realize that life is so unfair at times yet how it can be rewarding in the long run too.
Trevor has given us all an account of what real life looks like, and a chilling one at that.
I recommend this book for everyone, it's a must-read for anyone who even remotely likes to read.

The hype is real.
Revisado: 10-14-19
Man, this book is heavy yet amazing.
It's a love story set in one of the German Concentration camps. the book focusses less on the love story and more on the life around them. It gives you a good account of the holocaust and life in the concentration camps. It is heartbreaking at so many instances and makes you cringe at so many others but it's worth the time and all such emotions.
It is going to leave an impact on you and definitely leave you googling the main guy and obsessing over it some more.
It's a must-read for people obsessed with WWII fiction/non-fiction like I am.

Gripping!
Revisado: 10-14-19
This is a heart-wrenching account of life under a notorious scandal that takes us through the tale about sisterhood, atrocity, family and how life can take a horrific turn without warning. I could not put it down since the moment I started it, I will get back to it every chance I got. It is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
You will go through so many emotions while reading this book, most of which will be anger and it says a lot about the writing when you can feel what the characters are going through just by reading it.
This is a gripping must-read and Audible makes the experience even better, the narrator has done a fabulous job.

Revisado: 10-14-19
This book is powerful and very well narrated.
We always feel that we know a lot about famous figures because they are so talked about but a lot of times we really don't know them well, this book gives you a very good glimpse in the Life of the most beloved queen and somewhere makes you more familiar with her.
It's not just a history lesson, it's one which would keep you hooked. It starts from Elizabeth's birth and takes us through all the important events in her life which shaped her personality until today.
The narrators are amazing.
