The thing about Artem... It's a damn hard city to live in if you haven't got creds, and for creds, you need opportunities. The thing about opportunities... They're thin on the ground for Orcs, one of the most reviled races in the sprawling city. If you happen to be an Orc left for dead on the frontlines of Artem's roving monster problem and stranded outside its immense city walls, then you're doubly screwed—like Oshbob. The thing about Oshbob... He's tough, and he's pissed! With a will to survive like few others, he's determined never to be subject to the whims of the elite ever again.

But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Awful narration. Dumb main character. Recommend books in bottom of my review
Revisado: 11-15-22
The narration was awful like truely some of it I was confused who was talking cause it sounded the same… But I’ve had bad narration before and I decided I’d just give it a shot.
True regret it’s not worth the credit. The main character doesn’t have a single intelligent thought threw nearly the whole book. He blunders his way threw the world relying on others or almost killing himself cause he didn’t listen to the advise of mentors. I truely lost it though when he whines about the death of a Slaver who literally was attacking them! Like oh so evil my friend who rescued me, took care of me, risked everything to help me, has given himself up to help me escape yeah he killed the slaver when he was attacking us so now I hate him….
Was like wait what?
Say again?
IT WAS MURDER
But he was trying to kill you… Just tons of dumb things like this. I’m leaving stuff out to not spoil incase you decide to waist your credit but it’s just really bad and not worth it.
If you want a cool series with Dragons and different races and creatures I recommend the Summoner series. If you want an adult series that presents interesting perspectives on moral gray ness with a smart main character, I recommend He Who Fights Monsters. If your looking for a good kids book with a great character ark I recommend Artemis Fowl.

Historia
Audie Murphy was a desperately poor eighteen-year-old orphan when he joined the Army, nineteen when he first saw a buddy die from an enemy bullet and an enemy die from one of his own. By VE day, he had killed at least 240 Germans, had single-handedly destroyed a German tank in one battle and held off six tanks in another, and had become the most decorated soldier in American history, winning every medal his country offered, including the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Feeling lost
Revisado: 06-03-22
Really feel like this book was scattered all over the place. Character where made and detailed then forgotten or down right killed off. Jason has sudden realizations into who he is then realizes that not him then decides to take guilt because he’s protecting his family. Wait are we feeling guilty because when a bunch of people cornered you and your family and attempted to kill you all you fought back. Is this really what it’s come to? Feel like author is dragging a lot on. Plus more American hate from author, seems to think Americans are all evil nasty people who want to take over the world or burn it trying. Comparing China’s slave camps to America is messed up. Just super disappointed recently. Last book was well developed but had a bunch of hate but this was just scattered and not thought threw.

Racist?!?! What the heck with the hate?!?!?
Revisado: 06-03-22
Okay, the fan train for this series just came to a slamming halt. This book at first was great but suddenly MAJORLY messed up hate comments towards Americans like wait what?!? Umm is our author having a problem in real life cause this feels personal? Direct quote from book “Shooting brown skinned people for Americans” that’s messed up. Like really sick. I’m here to enjoy a great book but politics and major American hate kept popping up and it really hurt to see it. I really hope the next book doesn’t get ruined by this, I really have liked the world building but what’s with the hate and generalizations towards Americans.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

I love this series, this book was amazing the character development in this book like seeing how far they’ve come was great. I work in a factory 10h shifts and like to listen to audio books and I 200% recommended this. I actually was excited to go to work lol cause I wanted to listen to more. I just enjoyed it so much, if your reading this and unsure if you want to spend the credit. Do it! You won’t regret

Awesome performance
Revisado: 10-18-20
Can’t go wrong with Jessica Threet and Daniel Wisniewski! Great performance. The story developed slow but was captivating the longer you listened. It’s very hard to understand the main characters morals though. They tow the line from being evil and cruel to kinda and almost heroically benevolent. Very confusing but it’s a good book to throw on if you work a mundane job. Over all 4starts. Great narrators! Okay story.
