Historia
Sid Halley had one good hand and another made of metal. Five hundred pounds of horse had landed on him, directly ending his career as a brilliant jockey - and indirectly ending his marriage to the woman he loved. He had become a private investigator, quite a good one, though his new life could never erase the haunting memories of his past glories.

Historia
"Sadly, death at the races is not uncommon. However, three in a single afternoon was sufficiently unusual to raise more than one eyebrow." It's the third death on Cheltenham Gold Cup Day that really troubles super-sleuth Sid Halley. Last seen in 1995's Come to Grief, former champion jockey Halley knows the perils of racing all too well but, in his day, jockeys didn't usually reach the finishing line with three .38 rounds in the chest.

Fantastic
Revisado: 08-04-12
What did you love best about Steve Jobs?
The background of the man behind apple, learning his idiosyncrasies, what drove him. Insightful into what makes a genius, an amazing person but a fallible man.
What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?
Jack Welch, Dave Ulrich - masters in their fields
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the entire book, not one part in particular as it is all too integrated into making and forming the bigger picture/story
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, was happy to listen to it for its entire duration
Any additional comments?
I would NEVER have gotten through reading this book, but the aidile version was just fantastic! We listened to this travelling down to Cape Town from Johannesburg, the journey went by in a flash felt like 2hrs instead of 14. A fabulous book to listen to if a long journey ahead is planned
