Historia
Every year, thousands in the kingdom of Talin flock to its capital twin cities, San-Er, where the palace hosts a set of games. For those confident enough in their ability to jump between bodies, competitors across San-Er fight to the death to win unimaginable riches. Princess Calla Tuoleimi lurks in hiding. Five years ago, a massacre killed her parents and left the palace of Er empty…and she was the one who did it. Before King Kasa’s forces in San can catch her, she plans to finish the job and bring down the monarchy.

Awful story and plot
Revisado: 01-30-25
I really pushed through this book hoping it would be worth it in the end but I consider this the worst book I’ve read in years. Total waste of time. Trrrible character development, world building that totally fell flat - 60% of the book felt monotonous and repetitive. Not believable romance at all. Just all around terrible. I’d say don’t waste your time.

Historia
Purely by chance, renowned author Mary Summer Rain met No-Eyes, a blind Chippewa visionary who lives in a small, remote cabin in the Colorado mountains. Spirit Song the first volume in Summer Rain's No-Eyes tetralogy, introduces us to this remarkable, unforgettable woman. No-Eyes teaches her about many fascinating topics, including the history of the Chippewa people, the songs of the shaman, and the healing power of medicinal herbs.

Horrible narration, average story
Revisado: 09-20-22
A friend recommended this book to me, and at the end I just sat here wondering why.
The poor narration was really difficult to get over and after listening for a time became like nails on a chalkboard to me. Her voice is whiny and sounds like she is complaining the entire time. Even my own children aren’t allowed to talk like that!
The story itself didn’t seem to have a point or a lesson. I was hoping for some sort of take away but the ending fell flat. Some interesting visuals but I couldn’t really get into it due to the narration anyway.
Bottom line - if you want to read this, get the book instead of the audible.
