Historia
Previously known as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight is the intersection of True Crime, journalism and systematic corruption. Celebrated journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are taking their style of reporting beyond Alex Murdaugh and his co-conspirators. We expose the truth wherever it leads giving voice to victims like Mica Francis, Sara Lynn Colucci, and Christa Gilley, while still pursuing justice for all the victims you've met so far like Stephen Smith, Dallas Stoller, and others. True Sunlight is the antithesis of True crime. True Sunlight values accuracy over "...

Blown Away… Phenomenal!!!
Revisado: 07-02-22
I have never been a big listener of podcasts, but I am obsessed with the Murdaugh Murders Podcast. I read about the Murdaugh family in the news and found this podcast. Mandy Matney and her team go above and beyond tracking down accurate information and continue to hold officials’ feet to fire to tell the truth. Absolutely well done!!

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Hugely eye opening
Revisado: 12-06-20
As a teacher and as someone that currently lives in a small rural town but did not grow up in one, this novel was so incredible eye opening for me. The way Vance paints his experiences as well as creating context for the failings of our current social systems highlights that we truly don’t realize the extent to how much our neighbors and my students may be struggling. Excellent read.

Historia
Drawing on more than a decade of research and hundreds of interviews, Robert Wuthnow brings us into America's small towns, farms, and rural communities to paint a rich portrait of the moral order -the interactions, loyalties, obligations, and identities - underpinning this critical segment of the nation. Wuthnow demonstrates that to truly understand rural Americans' anger, their culture must be explored more fully. Moving beyond simplistic depictions of the residents of America's heartland, The Left Behind offers a clearer picture of how this important population will influence the nation's political future.

Eye opening look into rural America
Revisado: 11-30-20
Having grown up in a large city but now living in a small rural town, this book has been an eye opener to explain the culture, motivations, and intentions of many living in small towns including mine. This book has opened my own eyes to better ways to understand and interact with my neighbors when coming from completely different political backgrounds.
