A Queer Must Read

I was skeptical based on the title, but had heard from many in the LGBT+ community this is an amazing book. They were right! Complex, intellectual, romantic, and surprising- this was a book I, usually a biography lover, didn't want to put down. It will surprise you, pull your heart strings, and maybe even make you think about the world in a new way.

I picked this book because it's similar to Erin Morgenstern's novels. I stopped listening and switched to a print copy because I can't stand the narrator- they should have hired someone who knows how to do a French accent or at the very least can correctly pronounce cirque.

not what I expected

this story was far more about Jeffrey than Ghislaine. obviously there's some necessary overlap, but there were many chapters where she wasn't even mentioned and it got way too deep into the tedium of business stuff, so I ended up skipping to the end.
