Historia
What could be more commonplace than grass or a world covered over all its surface with a wind-whipped ocean of grass? But the planet Grass conceals horrifying secrets within its endless pastures. And as an incurable plague attacks all inhabited planets but this one, the prairie-like Grass begins to reveal these secrets - and nothing will ever be the same again.

I couldn't get into it.
Revisado: 08-28-18
This book has great reviews so I'm kind of surprised I wasn't able to get into it. The writing style just made it hard to follow. Like another reviewer said, maybe this better read than listened to. I only made it two hours in before I had to call it quits. I just didn't understand what was going on, who was who, and what the characters were referring to with their strange terminology for things. The author just throws you into a weird world without attempting to explain anything. I'm giving it three stars because I believe this would be a good read rather than listen.

Fantastic addition to the series!
Revisado: 08-28-18
I especially enjoyed this book! I was especially happy that Earth had come back. This added a lot to the story! I would love another book detailing the girl's experience going to Earth and the ramifications of the Earther's appearance on Eden. How did the war end? I would also love to see Earth come back again! An entirely new branch of the story could be written on just that! Hoping to see more soon!

It was good good!
Revisado: 08-24-18
I've officially become a fan of this series! This book is a great continuation of the story of Eden. Fantastic visuals, fantastic subject matter! I've fallen in love with the characters of both books. This book hit on some heavy topics and really makes you think about our own past. Its interesting watching this world's culture, technology, and religion develop from ground zero. I'm excited excited to start the next book!

Incredibly cheesy and unbelievable
Revisado: 08-17-18
This was one of my most unpleasant listening experiences. The entire plot is so cliche, cheesy, and unrealistic. Everything is incredibly convenient for the main character. I tried multiple times to finish this book but the cringe wouldn't let me. I ended up returning it.

Historia
Once Homo sapiens reigned supreme, spreading from star system to star system in an empire that encountered no alien life and thus knew no enemy.... save itself. As had happened many times before, the most primal human instincts rose up, only this time armed with the advanced scientific knowledge to create a genetically engineered smart virus that quickly wiped out humanity to the last man. That man is Ruslan, the sole known surviving human being in the universe.

Really fun story!
Revisado: 08-16-18
I was nervous purchasing this book as it had no reviews at the time. The summary sounded intriguing enough and I knew if it ended up being too cheesy or poorly written, I could just return it. I was not disappointed! In fact, I was pleasantly surprised! The story was fun! I appreciate that it's not the same regurgitated sci fi that so many other titles fall into. It has lots of fun concepts to think about. It was well written and produced. I'm not sure if this is going to turn into a series but I would be very interested in future books if it is!

Thought I was going to get answers..
Revisado: 08-15-18
So, I have a love-hate relationship with this series. It started off great. I fell in love with the premise. Then it kinda just spiraled. The battle planning and pointless banter just took soooooo long. I took me a couple months and a couple tries to finish the 4th book. I finally powered through it and was disappointed at the end but was grateful for it to be over. We were left with a lot of unanswered questions in what seemed to be the last book of the series. Then this book came out. I was apprehensive but I figured the author must have realized his mistake and was going to make good with us. What we get here is a bit more on how the people on Earth reacted to the crash of the plane Joseph was on when he was abducted. This added nothing to the story but more questions. Then we go and hear people's different perspectives of the insanely long, drawn out battle of the last book. OMG. Once was enough! I don't want to hear it again! I skipped chapters 5, 6, and 7 because that's all it was. The rest of the book got back to what originally intrigued me so much about the series: Joseph's influence on local culture and technology. But then, all of a sudden, without warning, it was over! There was no resolution and hardly any questions answered. Generally you can tell when an author is wrapping up a book, but not this one! It just stopped and Audible told me they hoped I enjoyed the program. I was disappointed by the program.

I'm not a twink!
Revisado: 07-11-18
I have to say, when I started this series, I almost returned it. These are not at all the types of books I usually listen to. The bulk of my library contains sci fi. I was feeling adventurous and decided to give these books a try. Originally, the voices turned me. They reminded me a lot of the "Shrek" movies and I felt weird listening to a raunchy "Shrek." BUT! By the end of book one, I'd fallen in love with the characters. I LOVED book 2 and book 3 was even more glorious! I almost cried at the end of the third book today. I really am in love with these characters even though they/the story can be silly at times. It's nice break from the more serious and realistic books I listen to. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

Returning This
Revisado: 06-29-18
I recently finished Brin's "Existence" and loved it! I really thought I was going to like this one as well. The summary sounded interesting and the good reviews were encouraging. I'm really bummed that I can't get into it. You just get thrown into a world without a proper explanation. The aliens are just too weird and hard to picture. Characters and sub stories jump around a lot. It's just super hard to follow and doesn't flow very well. Narration is cringey. I was confused the entire 8 hours I spent listening. I just can't get through it.
