Okay, was I annoyed about the immaturity and the lack to speak up in a timely manner, yes. But was it also deeply satisfying to hear both POVs and an amazing audio performance….also yes.

The story itself, the authors writing. Fabulous, just not my favorite tropes, actually my least favorite. The lies, the deceit. I know other readers are upset with the owd that isn’t mentioned in the blurbs however you cannot call Izzy the “other woman” if you wanna call Raphs “other Maddy” okay then. But my heart breaks time and time again for Hunter and Izzy and for everyone else involved in this messy sorrid situation. Wanted to DNF this book from about 52% on but kept holding out that maybe Hunter would see that despite Mads choices he could do so much better. I trucked on only because I’m so invested to see what Savannah chooses.
Not bad writing, not even close but ugh the tropes and the bullshit make me wanna give 3 but I can’t do that to good writing.

Would have loved more Hyde chapters. Also if I could get less of the word “dingus” and the “yeah” at the end of Hyde’s demands I’d live a happy life. 😂

As always Lorelei King delivers a multitude of characters through storytelling but I think she may have lost a little enthusiasm for the Plum novel. I’ve listened to plum audiobooks by other readers and did not love them always preferring Lorelei...however she was a bit more monotone then in other books in the series still a great listen.
Janet Evanovich doesn’t disappoint in her keen story telling or laugh out loud humor 26 books later and I’m still feening for the next Stephanie Plum novel. Stephanie’s character is developing and I can sense yet another story line brewing. While I selfishly hope that story line heavily includes a hunky Cuban man I can only hope that the next story offers a little more of that original Stephanie sass. Overall great read/listen and I’ll be preordering the next book as soon as it’s announced. 💓
