We hear so many times all these stories of trauma and how they impact others. I, personally during my journey, have been waiting for some way of integration. Yes I have this story now what? Share it ? Ok done. But it still left me feeling like I needed more.
The later chapters does that.

Ingrid paints this picture of how she integrated her feelings, thoughts, and somatic responses and continues through life, living it. How she found peace and refuge in safety and acceptance. As trauma is us, it doesn’t become us. Thank you Ingrid for telling your story and helping me along my journey. I will remember and give this book to those who are on a similar path. ❤️

I heard Lauren on a podcast talking about the book. The conversation about the book made it seem to be it was about the affair. I will say the story she told on the podcast made it very interesting and I was very intrigued. As I'm Listening to the podcast, it jumps around a lot then to only cover the affair briefly. The book is more about her life journey with an affair happened to be just another aspect of her life. It was a good read and I enjoy the audio version. A lot of one liners and awkward jokes. Good but kind of boring compared to the podcast.
