Historia
The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.

It took a minute, but wait for it
Revisado: 04-27-25
I restarted this book several times bc I found myself not listening. I’m glad I didn’t give up. It took a little time to hook me in, but after a few chapters, I couldn’t stop listening. Like other reviews, I too think this book is amazing. Can’t wait for the next one.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

New
Revisado: 12-24-24
I’ve read many, many fantasy books, and so many feel formulaic. This story, however, felt different, new, and refreshing. The romance was the most mainstream, but still interesting. I loved this book and look forward to the next in the series. I just wish the wait wasn’t so long.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Amazing
Revisado: 06-07-23
Finally a story as unique as The Hunger Games and Divergent. I loved everything about it. Listened to it nonstop.
I don’t understand the outrageous complaints about the reader performance though. You can hear she has a cold or something in the first part, but it clears up. I think she still does a great job.
Love-love this book, and I too can’t wait for the next book.
I see this making a terrific movie, too.
