TerraMates Love Story with a different twist

This TerraMates story was a little different from the others. I like it. Jenn needs money and she signs up for an alien husband. The thing is, she is only there for the money. She doesn't want to have anything to do with men.

She is assigned to flaunt herself in front of a male representative of another planet. When the time comes, she hides in a closet. Well in walks Kai the male hero. He is sent to Earth to marry a woman in order to form an alliance. Among all of the women thrown into his path, he just wants a break and hides in a closet which just happens to be the one Jenn is in. Kai Immediately recognizes Jenn to be his Sindare or Soul Mate - but much more.

There is a lot of political and romance drama adventure in this story. I love the fact that the Brides must battle the men they marry. My favorite part is how Jenn uses her Tai chi and other yoga practices to beat the resident antagonist in the marriage battle (she won the battle and was able to reject the groom).

Interesting Time Travel Concept

This was a good story based on time travel. The way they travel is new and has not been overdone. It is so nice to not have someone travel through a fairy ring stone. This is different and is an unexpected form of artistic magic. The ending was unexpected. The narration was good.

New Characters with Lots of Action and Love

I really enjoy listening to these stories. There is enough space action and suspense. Each story in the TerraMates series can be read alone but still builds onto the universe the author has created.

Gabriella signs up for TerraMates. She wants to leave Earth. Laz is a high ranking warrior looking for his Naima (Soul Mate). Gabriella is just trying to escape a hard life on Earth. They communicate with each other via video communication for about 5 minutes. Then Laz gets off the line. A few minutes later, Gabriella has an offer of marriage from Laz. She accepts.

On the way to Laz, her space ship crashes and she is captured buy some pretty nasty aliens. The adventure starts.

The narration is done buy Cassandra Myles & Noel Harrison do an excellent job with the character voices. I love the variation back and forth in voices.

There is a nice ending and of course the sex is hot and steamy. If you like the TerraMates series you will love this book.

Interesting Concepts - A good Quad of Sci Fi

I really liked "Progeny" and "Circle is Closed". Very strong Classic Science Fiction. Reminded me of a Piers Anthony story. Well written and actually makes the reader think. The narrator was excellent. He was great with voices and inflection.

A Fun Stand-Alone TerraMates Story

I really like the fact that the books in this series are stand-alone stories. I listen to them out of sequence and have never been confused with any of the characters in other books.

Eden is on Earth signs up with TerraMates and goes through the interview. Her picture goes all over the galaxy. Thiago is in an off world slavers den and sees Eden on the main screen. He has some sort of emotion trigger on his forehead (kind of a third eye thing). When he sees Eden, the trigger lights up and he knows he must buy her. He immediately moves to the back of the room and starts to bid on her and wins. This really pisses off one of the potential buyers. Thiago is half human and half alien, and this alone makes people dislike him (of course being a bounty hunter is another reason).

Once the sale clears Thiago has a new wife. Eden is drugged by TerraMates and wakes up with a sleazy alien middle man that makes the delivery of Eden to Thiago. Finally on board Thiago’s ship she gets bored and starts helping around the ship. Of course, she gets is some serious trouble because she is from earth and is clueless as to how things are in outer space. Thiago rescues her several times. He finally starts to like Eden and his ex-girlfriend/bounty hunter partner shows up. Then the main adventure begins.

I really love this author, and I will continue to read her books. I noticed one of the reviews for this book that was negative about Eden needing to be rescued all of the time……..WELL Duh! She does not know how things work. If I were on another planet I would not know the customs or routines either. Thiago is a true hero and one hot looking alien with a pet named Hercules. I love the ending regarding Hercules…very sweet.

Great Story - I love the Terra Mates Series

The title of the book threw me off. I was expecting a different storyline. I was expecting something like a girl arrives on a planet with dominant aliens....one falls for the human. However, this was not the case. Don't get me wrong at all. I love those kinds of stories. This was a very good love story with great sex and adventures. Just no dominant "Alpha". I kept checking the book cover to make sure I was listening to the correct book.

I listened to this great story. It is a romance between Quinn and Airik. Quinn lives on Earth and is being stalked by a crazy religious group. They want her dead because she can predict the future. The group tries several times to kill her. Quinn signs up for Terra Mates to go off world. She lands in the perfect place on a world of psychics.

Airik has a deadline and must marry someone quickly. His brother hooks him up with a bride through Terra Mates. Airik is the head of a precognition division of the government. He doesn't want a wife, but needs one or he will be asked to resign his post as director.

There is enough adventure and angst to keep this story interesting. As usual, Lisa Lace has written the descriptions of people and places well. I can visualize the characters clearly. I really do love her writing style.

The narrators are good. I love it when a man reads the male part and a woman the female part. The chapters are titled - Quinn or Airik (eye rick). I love the narrators and have bought several of their works.

Great Sex that will make your toes curl

If you don't like Hot steamy sex....this is NOT a book for you. There are some seriously detailed sex stories in this collection. This was another book I had to listen to with the ear phones on. Too sexy for my kids....and made me blush when my husband caught me listening without the ear phones.

This book was filled with quite a few authors. Some of them had fantastic writing skills and the rest were very good. Collections are good to help me judge potential authors, but I prefer longer storylines. I have bookmarked several of these authors.

Unexpected Ending 1st Book in a Series -Excellent

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I did not expect the ending. I like the depth of the characters. There is just so much going on in this book. It was one of the few books that I had a hard time turning off. The author has a great writing style and the narrator is very good with voices.

The main characters Mackenzie and Lachlan have chemistry with each other from the beginning. Mackenzie (Mack) meets Lachlan during an illegal fighting match. Mack is a beautiful small woman, graceful, fit and is an excellent fighter. She beats the main fighter Donny (part of the Irish mob), during the match and that gets the attention of everyone. She especially gets the unwanted attention of Lachlan. Lachlan is the leader of the Irish mob and is the last person Mack wanted.

Mack is looking for her friend that has disappeared. The last time Mack's friend was seen in the company of the Russians. So, Mack gets a job at one of the Irish Mobs elite Bar with a special Strip Club section – where her friend was last seen. The Russians visit this club frequently. Of course, Mack gets into all kinds of trouble.

I am not really sure what to write at this point without giving lots of spoilers. I like Sasha. Sasha stands up for Mack when she starts stripping. Sasha likes Lachlan’s right hand man Ronan. Ronan and Lachlan have known each other since they were kids. All of these characters have had harsh childhoods. Mack’s father was a boxer and was killed by the Russians and she was an orphan. This book has the Irish mob, Russian mob and Armenian mob and is filled with fights, VERY hot sex and intrigue.

The story is cute and a good beginning of a series

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I just wish it was a little longer. I like my romance stories to be a little longer. I bought books 2 and 3 because I did enjoy the storyline and characters.

I do like the fact that Derek makes cakes and sweet goodies for Clarice and leaves it on her doorstep. Sweets from the bear is funny and I laughed. The guy in the local store thought it was funny too. Once Clarice figures out that Derek is not married....she was pissed off and I did not blame her.

There were some background characters that made the story fun. The narrator did a great job with the voices. Overall, this was good.

I never knew most of this information

This is an excellent story. I love factual history. This reveals more information about the underhanded things the government and local officials did to the indigenous people of The America's. I thought I knew a good bit about the Choctaw Indians, but this book included some facts that I know are not ever going to go in the main stream history books.

I am especially interested in the Trail of Tears. In Georgia, it started in the Sautee Nacoochee Valley and carried on out West to some of the worst land available. This is a very intense story.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Sally Martin did a great job narrating this audiobook.
