Historia
Popular blogger Cal Newport reveals the new key to achieving success and true meaning in professional life: the ability to master distraction. Many modern knowledge workers now spend most of their brain power battling distraction and interruption, whether because of the incessant pinging of devices, noisy open-plan offices or the difficulty of deciding what deserves their attention the most. When Cal Newport coined the term deep work on his popular blog, Study Hacks, in 2012, he found the concept quickly hit a nerve.

waste of time
Revisado: 08-14-16
at first author says that this book wont be a manual how to make a company, but later there is many things you need to do just like he says. if you don t do that you are stupid and will fail. only his way is the right way, like God has send him to make a world a better place. company he has confound is the gold and everything else is shit. if he knows everything so well, why he hasn't found 10 of those companies?
author accepts only big companies, that can change world and make billions, all small merchants are just wasting there time and resurces. basically all nations are wron, only he can save the world. ego in the sky.
there is some good points like to be a monopoly in small niche and start small. but those are general principles, no real value in this book.

Not a fan
Revisado: 08-13-16
In genereal books main point was good and usefull. we spend time on things that nobody wants and thats a huge waste. there also was suggestions how to improve this waste.
what I found lacking was some studys or experiments, where these ideas was tasted. in the middle it was ok, detailed examples from start to finish. but at end chapters it was like you need to do this, because I say so, no deep explanation. also there was to many examples, diferent in each chapter. it was dificult to find similarities with my problems, because I needed to switch from one example to another. better would be few examples from start to finish.
also in the start there was mentioned, that this would be helpful for all industries, but in the end all tips and examples was only for software/it companies.

Absolute classic, basics of every business
Revisado: 08-12-16
Where does The E-Myth Revisited rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
On the top shelf. Among "Think and grow rich", "Blue ocean strategy" and "Creativity, Inc".
It's must read for everybody, who is building a company. It's most basic things about entrepreneurship, ground level stuff, that just need to known and understand.
Sure, there is some parts of the book, that I don't agree on, and they might be old school, but in general book is great. Main concept how to build your company, what's important.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The E-Myth Revisited?
I guess the most memorable thing was, that you don't need be passionate about your business, but more rational and think about everything in it. Big picture, small details, that's all your job as a entrepreneur and nobody else won't do it. Sure, you need to love what you do, but you also need to manage everything, do the boring stuff.

Deep book to improve yourself and you company
Revisado: 08-12-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Smarter Faster Better to be better than the print version?
It depends, for me audio books is always better. There is some parts of the book you would like to write down or search some examples, so print version would be handy as well. It would be better to implement goal setting strategics with print version.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Those brave pilots, who landed the plain safely. It goes like Archilochos quote: "we don't rise to the level of our expectations we fall to the level of our training." This book in a way is about this, that you need to prepare and train well, think and then you can achieve great things.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely not, there is a lot of examples, you need to think about them and then move on. Also there is many tips and lessons, that will time and a lot of work to be implemented. So you will need to come back to this book and listen some parts gain and again.

Absolute must read for everybody in business
Revisado: 08-12-16
What did you love best about Blue Ocean Strategy?
Books simplicity. There is huge value of the book, but it's really easy to read/listen and understand. Real life examples are great and show you how to use those lessons in real life.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Blue Ocean Strategy?
To create new markets. Don't be a copycat, u can't copy somebody or try to fight with big guys in their market. Find your place and customer, grow and then knock down those guys. It will be easier, will save you energy and will be more fun.
Any additional comments?
Many people suggested me to listen to this, I skipped it for few years. But when I did listen, I understand why everybody was so inspired about this book. Absolute classic.

Historia
Many of the most dynamic public companies, from Alibaba to Facebook to Visa, and the most valuable start-ups, such as Airbnb and Uber, are matchmakers that connect one group of customers with another group of customers. Economists call matchmakers multisided platforms because they provide physical or virtual platforms for multiple groups to get together. Dating sites connect people with potential matches, for example, and ride-sharing apps do the same for drivers and riders.

Book about matchmakers
Revisado: 08-12-16
Where does Matchmakers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Somewhere in the middle, not my favorite book, but there is something to think about.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Thinking how many of great business work, what value they create and how t use some part of it in my business. Many of today biggest businesses are matchmakers. Before reading this book, I had not thought about them in way like this.
Any additional comments?
Some things to think about, how modern economics work. Many great real life examples and comparisons.Could be great reference for study projects. At first wasn't fan of narrator, but after some time it was really good, great for this book.

Historia
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." Be humble and do your job
Revisado: 08-12-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely, great book to become a better person. Not better to others, but for yourself, because after reading this you will care less what others might think. Your main task is to find your way and do your work, do it real good. Everything else is just disruption of what you can achieve. All those things you can't influence, thinking and worrying about them, it's just waste of your time and energy.
What other book might you compare Ego Is the Enemy to and why?
For me it made some association with Napoleon Hill - Think and grow rich. It's just about finding your way in life and doing what you are suppose to do and do it real good.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I paused after many chapters, to think about examples in book and find similarities in my life.
Any additional comments?
At first book was hard to start and listen, because my ego was afraid, I guess. But after few chapters it's really easy to listen and think about your life in a new way. In the end everything comes together and you see your life from different perspective. Many things and examples to think about and it will take time to implement them. I guess this is book, that you need to listen time after time, like once in year, to get most of it.
