Historia
The story line tells the origins of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood and its breeding program, the human-computer Mentats, and the Navigators (the Spacing Guild), as well as a crucial battle for the future of the human race, in which reason faces off against fanaticism. These events have far-reaching consequences that will set the stage for Dune, millennia later.

Historia
At long last, millions of Dune fans can now hear the unpublished chapters and scenes from Dune and Dune Messiah. The Road to Dune also includes the original correspondence between Frank Herbert and famed editor John W. Campbell, Jr.; excerpts from Herbert's correspondence during his years-long struggle to get his innovative work published; and the article, "They Stopped the Moving Sands", Herbert's original inspiration for Dune.

Historia
For more than a hundred years humans, dwarves, gnomes and elves lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over and now the races once again fight each other - and themselves: dwarves are killing their kinsmen, and elves are murdering humans and elves, at least those elves who are friendly to humans...Into this tumultuous time is born a child for whom the witchers of the world have been waiting.

Not nearly as good as the short stories
Revisado: 12-23-17
Suddenly Sapkowski tries too hard with unfitting and unwarranted grandiose imagery and the fascinating style of connected short stories is abandoned.
The first in an exciting but ultimately bad story of the young Ciri suffering and suffering and suffering and vain attempts at depth by insisting on and repeating poor metaphors. And suffering. Torture and rape over and over has replaced the moral dilemmas that gave the short stories such depth.
If you enjoyed The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, then I recommend you enjoy them again rather than start on these novels.

Historia
On Arrakis, now called Rakis, known to legend as Dune, 10 times 10 centuries have passed. The planet is becoming desert again. The Lost Ones are returning home from the far reaches of space. The great sandworms are dying, and the Bene Gesserit and the Bene Tleilax struggle to direct the future of Dune. The children of Dune's children awaken as from a dream, wielding the new power of a heresy called love.

Very intriguing story, well performed
Revisado: 12-22-17
Most noticeable difference from the previous Dune books is that we hardly have a main character, but the intrigues and destiny of the old empire, the Bene Gesserit, and all of humanity is at least as exciting to follow as that of a single person.
Heretics of Dune outs the events of the previous books in an interesting perspective and tells us more about what the God-Emperor actually achieved, and yet leaves the Golden Path as a bit of a mystery still.
The narrator does a good job, but unfortunately only does about 5 different voices (and just 2 accents) for all the many, many characters that speak during this story. More variation would have given him the 5th star from me.

Historia
Young Susan has always suspected that her Grandfather was different, as though all the time he spent riding a white horse and wielding a scythe weren't enough of a giveaway. Now that her worst fears have been confirmed, Susan learns that she's expected to take over the family business when she grows up, even though most people mistake her for the Tooth Fairy. But as attractive as Death can be to many people, Susan is drawn into something else.

Awful sound quality
Revisado: 11-17-17
Really poor sound quality, like it's copied from a scratched tape, and while it's obviously been through some digital noise reduction, it's still poor. But very good story, and I have nothing bad to say about the reader's performance, just a really cheap and poor job by the studio.

Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Flawed performance
Revisado: 06-11-17
One or two of the actors are doing a really poor job, but the story is fantastic and most of the performance is good.
Parts have music and other background sounds. It can be distracting and annoying, but it's always fairly brief (usually a minute or two).

Geralt of Rivia is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers and lifelong training have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary killer: he hunts the vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. But not everything monstrous-looking is evil; not everything fair is good...and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

Exciting, well told, and even provoking in places
Revisado: 04-09-17
Just a great book. Peter Kenny's only fault is that ghosts get a bit annoying with their slow and breathy voices when they have a lot to say. Other than that I can't imagine anyone doing a better job of this book.

Time does not seem to exist, and there are no obvious borders or portals to cross back into her home world. But this is Ciri, the child of prophecy, and she will not be defeated. She knows she must escape to finally rejoin the Witcher, Geralt, and his companions - and to try to conquer her worst nightmare.

rape and torture instead of interesting plots
Revisado: 04-09-17
Loved the short stories, but this is unpleasant cheap garbage. Nothing interesting happens in the story and you just get a bunch of dreadful torture and rape scenes as a replacement for anything interesting and exciting happening.
