Performance was good. Sex scenes were like someone heavy breathing directly in your ear with lip smacking kissing sounds. Good for being free though. Invest the extra 7 hours and a little cash and listen to the original. You really get more of how the dystopia mirrors things happening today.

Great reading until NT

Jon's reading seemed flawless. James's reading was chopped from several different sessions in different locations. This made the new testament super choppy. Also, in Matthew 21, James sounds like he says "and put on dem dare clothes". Had to check the Bible to get what he was saying.

Took a bit to get engrossed

I'm definitely listening to this again, but the first time took me a while to understand where the plot was going. I didn't understand the people in Nether until halfway through. With 4 hours left, I was really enjoying the book and wishing I had understood the characters better from the start. Still recommend this if you're a fan of Nick Cole.

What's with all the low scores?

People say this book is slow and nothing really happens. It didn't seem any different from the last books in terms of pace.
Overall, the book is great and ends with me wishing I had waited to listen to it a week before the next book came out, if you know what I mean

This was a great book on the back story of a character I never would have thought would have a back story. Makes me wish there was a full book on this last battle before he turned into who he is in the main storyline.

Immersive, entertaining, fantastic
What about January LaVoy’s performance did you like?
January is one of the best narrators I've listened to. She performed the voices so well. Very rarely do I hear narrators do male and female voices so uniquely and distinctly.
Any additional comments?
This was the first Star Wars book I listened to and I can't wait to hear January LaVoy read the other Star Wars books she narrated.
