Historia
It's been over a year since Megan found herself entangled in a murder—much to everyone's relief, including her girlfriend Jelena and Detective Paul Bourke. So when a body of a young woman quite literally lands in her lap at her favorite Dublin cafe, Megan tries to do the right thing and leave the crime-solving to the police so she can enjoy the St. Patrick's Day weekend. After all, she has no connection to the victim. Or does she?

Giant plot hole
Revisado: 01-01-25
I agree with the other reviewers regarding the annoying relationship rubbish. However, more jarring was no one in the book addressing the elephant in the room - the suicide note. Note was ridiculously long, but mostly, no one who was dangerously drunk could have strung a coherent sentence together, much less typed it.

Why American Performer
Revisado: 04-13-24
Lovely store, but why oh why did they use an American reader? The characters are all British, including the first person narrator.

Reader finally learned to pronounce “Zoe”
Revisado: 04-01-24
I liked all the Little Library Mysteries. The first two drove me nuts, as the reader pronounced the little neighbor’s name “Zoh” instead of “Zoey.” That put my teeth on edge. This one was most enjoyable.
The author has a nice way with words.

Good listen, only complaint with art.
Revisado: 03-20-24
I enjoyed the listen, especially the similarities to my situation. Sold our VA home with no new place acquired yet; will drive to FL in my Forester with my Golden Retriever to whom I talk as if she understands. My only complaint is that the cover art is not a Golden Retriever, it’s a Lab. Artist needs to see a Golden.

Best book ever.
Revisado: 10-18-22
I read the book twice over the years it’s been published because it is just the best. I got Golden Retrievers largely because of the author’s love for them.
Now I purchased the Audible version and loved it all over again, so much so that when finished I immediately listened to it again, Thank you Audible!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Excellent!!!
Revisado: 10-02-22
Thoroughly enjoyable! A great blend of fantasy and modern attitudes and speech. Certain characters are disconcerting loud with air buds, but overall one of my favorite listens!
