Arisch rein ging es darin nicht zu, sondern chemisch deutsch – und ziemlich toxisch. Wo die Ideologie für Fanatismus und "Endsieg" nicht mehr ausreichte, wurde hemmungslos nachgeholfen. Als Deutschland 1940 Frankreich überfiel, standen die Soldaten der Wehrmacht unter 35 Millionen Dosierungen Pervitin. Das Präparat – heute als Crystal Meth bekannt – machte den Blitzkrieg erst möglich.

Fascinating look at the 3rd Reich. Bravo! Reads like a thriller. I couldn’t stop listening.

Great story, terrible narration

I really wanted to love this but the narration of this book is just bad. The narration by Mary Louis Parker feels off key and is difficult to follow. The best way I can describe it is that the narrator is just reading words with no concept or comprehension of the sentences rattled off and an odd phonetical emphasis on the middle of the sentence. It almost sounds like bad AI that was created in a lab from the narrators voice. The story is great with typical Grisham creativity and it’s unfortunate that the narration isn’t better.
