Aila Sorenson doesn’t know what happened to her marriage. They appear to be shining pillars of marital perfection - attending church on Sundays, volunteering, and surpassing every expectation society has of them - but deep down, Aila knows their marriage is crumbling. When Aila unexpectedly runs into someone from her past, the illusion she and Ben created begins to shatter.

So Relatable

I loved this story. I just loved how realistic this couple in this story were and their real life struggles. Being a SAHM myself I can see how years of giving to others gets old and normal life things tend to take over while our marriage takes a backseat. The audio though, I didn’t enjoy the long gaps between chapters, and so weird how randomly the narrator would sound different or come on loudly. I would legit jump since it scared me.
