Too long, the ending didn’t leave satisfied.
Revisado: 04-13-25
I was such a big fan of powerless. Loved everything about that book. Second book was ok for me, but this book… omg way too long, way too boring. Too many deaths that should not have happened, why leave Kai so heart broken. And I could’ve told this story in 2hr, no need for 15 hr of this back and forth. I agree with others, pae was annoying and not like herself from powerless, Kai was too whiny, and Kitt was just too crazy. The author should’ve twisted it differently. I’m so not happy with the ending. The narrator of Kai- forever grateful ❤️

Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Don’t know why everyone is obsessed with this book.
Revisado: 03-06-25
Why does every author think that a strong FMC, is a girl that fights, curses and sleeps around. I’m so tired of it, it’s such a turn off. I have 2,5hr left, but I just can’t finish this it. I would not recommend this book.

Not impressed
Revisado: 03-06-25
I can’t say I liked it. I read the first two books and I loved them. The third book was boring, I didn’t even buy the fourth. I thought I would give it a go to Ahnna’s story. I am disappointed, I didn’t feel the attraction between the main characters. Ahnna was a whiny baby, and in all the story wasn’t good. I would not recommend this book!

I’m sorry, but I’m disappointed 😫
Revisado: 10-24-23
The book was boring! There were so little interactions between Jacks and Evangeline. Non of my questions were answered. I’m more confused now, than I was after the second book, which I loved so much. Obviously read it, if you started the series, but I truly expected more.

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship.

Omg I loved this book so much, I reread it 3 times, trying to understand every single conversation, every look, every touch. This is one of my favorite books. Definitely favorite enemies to lovers!!! Lucy acted a bit childish at some point, but I feel like, if I was around Josh, I would have acted stupid too haha
Josh is everything and more. I definitely recommend this book! Worth the credit!!!

Guys I feel ripped off
Revisado: 10-20-21
Nothing happens twice, but this book did. I mean it’s the same storyline as “from blood and ash”. Maybe a little bit gender-bent, things were done with different intentions, but nonetheless same story, and same narrator didn’t help. I did enjoy a couple pages, but more than 20h were the same annoying crap I’ve heard before.
I feel like we should’ve been told, how similar these books are. I just wasted my credit on this. I could’ve reread fbaa again for free.
If you have FBAA skip this one!!!!

Not for me..
Revisado: 10-14-21
I am disappointed in this book. I love holly black. The way she describes things, the dialogues between people, the mystery- its always on point. This book did not do anything like that for me. I listened to cruel prince and coldtown girl and so loved the tension between two main characters. I was hoping to hear it again, but it didn’t happen. Boring, boring…

You know what I really enjoyed it. The story didn’t move too far, but it shoved us more time with Emilia and Wrath.
I still have many questions, now probably even more than before. Ugh… now waiting for the next book, I guess.. Hopefully last in the series! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!!!!

I actually liked this book. Twists and turns, it was all to my liking. This story seemed so real I wished the author did not go for dark magic. I wished the things that happened had a natural explanation. I don’t want put any spoilers, but you’ll know when you listen. In all good read!
