The development of relationships is very interesting to me. This was is unique story constructed around the development of many relationships. The narration was very relatable and suitable for this novel. I never lost interest in the story.

I kept trying until the end

I was so glad when this was finished. Was a mess!! I did not enjoy it, not the story, not the people zip zero. However I kept going back and listening with the hope it might improve. It did not.

There is nothing well done or right about this book. Reading this book or listening to it is to subject oneself to senseless violence.
Ridiculous writing.. I (Tara) remember my brother reading, I was curled up under this desk, staring at his socks inhaling his music....Inhaling his music?? This story never should have happened, the entire family should be in jail. Jailed for domestic violence, abuse, animal cruelty, assault, labor laws etc.

Words that place you in each moment

The soft slow gentle reading was an important part of this story, with out it the reality of the war would be too over powering. Their is warmth, love, hope in each chapter. The words of the author are captivating and transport you to every scene. At times I was frightened and other time I shed a tear for joy. I was intrigued and recommended this tough but fascinating story.

The story weaves a clear pictures of the characters and all their lives entail. As the story unfolds many surprising and unique situations compelled me to know more and more. I found it difficult to step away from this surprising story. It's perfect entertainment.
