Historia
Mikael Blomkvist is trying to reach Lisbeth Salander—the fierce, unstoppable girl with the dragon tattoo. He needs her help unraveling the identity of a man who died with Blomkvist's phone number in his pocket—a man who does not exist in any official records and whose garbled last words hinted at knowledge that would be dangerous to important people. But Lisbeth has disappeared. She's sold her apartment in Stockholm. She's gone dark. She's told no one where she is. And no one is aware that at long last she's got her primal enemy, her twin sister, Camilla, squarely in her sights.

While this story splits between Salander it was still an excellent story and well written.

Heart Pounding!
Revisado: 12-14-22
I must agree with other reviews I have read. This was the most heart-pounding and intense of all her novels. An excellent addition to the series, one not to be missed!

DI Vera Stanhope is not one to make friends easily, but her hippy neighbors keep her well supplied in homebrew and conversation, and somehow bonds have formed. When one of them goes missing, Vera tracks the young woman down to the Writer’s House, a country retreat where aspiring authors work on their stories. Things get complicated when a body is discovered, and Vera’s neighbor is found with a knife in her hand.

Excellent story and narration!
Revisado: 01-06-18
What made the experience of listening to The Alice Network the most enjoyable?
The story weaves between Eve Gardener's past as a WWI spy, and the "present" of Charlotte (Charlie) St. Clair, a young woman from NY on a quest to find her missing cousin in post-WWII France. The story in itself is very good, the pace and characters draw you in.
What does Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrator did an excellent job with both male and female characters, which added a texture to the story that would have been missed in just reading it. Excellent job.
Any additional comments?
I found myself sitting in my garage listening to "just a bit more" on many, many occasions.

A Tale Worth the Wait
Revisado: 09-11-17
It probably took about of a third of this book to grab me. Once it did, the story became very engaging. This is a tale about the darker side of British rule in India, and some of the characters are historical figures. A good listen.

Great story of adventures - past and present
Revisado: 06-02-16
The story started out a bit slow and uneven, but I wound up loving it. The main characters are childhood friends who ran away from Glasgow to London in the 60's to join the music scene. The story moves between their past and the present as the three elderly men and the coerced grandson of one of the men retraced their epic journey to the "big smoke." It is a story of love, loss, and missed opportunities.Very enjoyable and highly recommended!

Well worth the time!
Revisado: 04-06-16
I REALLY enjoyed this book. It does start out a bit slow, but soon you are thoroughly caught up in the characters' stories. The book switches between early 1940s and 2011, between the mother and her past and her daughter trying to untangle a family mystery. The ending took me by surprise, but at the same time was quite fitting. I will look forward to listening to more Kate Morton books.

Historia
When Robin Ellacott opens an unexpected delivery, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman's severed leg. Her boss, private detective Cormoran Strike, is less surprised but just as alarmed. He suspects that four people from his past could be responsible - and any one of them is capable of sustained and unspeakable brutality. With the police focusing on the one suspect Strike has essentially ruled out, he and Robin take matters into their own hands and delve into the dark and twisted worlds of the other three men.

I think this book is even more suspenseful than the previous two because Strike and Robin are the targets of a serial killer. Extremely well done up to the very last words! The characters continue to grow and evolve in a myriad of ways, I hope there will be another in this series.

Great story and a great mystery
Revisado: 06-14-15
I just finished Big Little Lies and thoroughly loved it! Liane Moriarty really captured the characters lives, with all of their little pettiness and big issues. Anyone who has had to deal with "helicopter moms" can easily relate. The mystery was not only a "whodunnit" but also a "who was it."
The only slight negative was the narration. At first it seemed hard to distinguish characters as the voices were so similar. I'm not sure if the narration got better or I just got used to her voice, but it became much less distracting as the book went on.
I heartily recommend this book, either in audio or text.
