Historia
Where is the best place to find life beyond Earth? We often look to Mars as the most promising site in our solar system, but recent scientific missions have revealed that some of the most habitable real estate may actually lie farther away. Beneath the frozen crusts of several of the small, ice-covered moons of Jupiter and Saturn lurk vast oceans that may have been in existence for as long as Earth, and together may contain more than 50 times its total volume of liquid water. Could there be organisms living in their depths?

One of my new favourite books
Revisado: 06-25-22
I often enjoy Brian Cox space and science books and Neil de Grasse Tyson or people like Max Tegmark. And I can honestly say this is one of my new favourite books. If you like Brian Cox you will really enjoy this surprising comprehensive look at the oceans on other planets

Historia
David Mitchell’s 2014 best seller Thinking About It Only Makes It Worse must really have made people think - because everything’s got worse. We’ve gone from UKIP surge to Brexit shambles, from horsemeat in lasagne to Donald Trump in the White House, from Woolworths going under to all the other shops going under. It’s probably socially irresponsible even to try to cheer up.

Experimental physicist and award-winning educator Dr. Don Lincoln takes you on this exciting journey in The Theory of Everything: The Quest to Explain All Reality. Suitable for the intellectually curious at all levels and assuming no background beyond basic high-school math, these 24 half-hour lectures cover recent developments at the forefront of particle physics and cosmology.

Great book friendly narration, highly recommended
Revisado: 05-01-19
I loved the baby steps in the beginning and how it expands into the broader picture over the course of the book, Also it felt like every word was carefully chosen so as be as accurate as possible, Sometimes in popular science books there can be some sloppy analogies or simplifications, but not this book. Oh the narration was great too. Highly recommended

I've listened to this book lots of times, I love the narration the subject matter, it's depth is just about perfect for me too, nothing is dumbed down and yet it's clear and understandable if you are even considering this book, get it immediately.

Historia
Colonel Chris Hadfield has spent decades training as an astronaut and has logged nearly 4000 hours in space. During this time he has broken into a Space Station with a Swiss army knife, disposed of a live snake while piloting a plane, and been temporarily blinded while clinging to the exterior of an orbiting spacecraft. The secret to Col. Hadfield's success - and survival - is an unconventional philosophy he learned at NASA: prepare for the worst and enjoy every moment of it.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

I think this book is a future classic.. An absolute must read/listen for fans of the genre. It's geeky sense of humour is a welcome surprise and relief from the relentless excitement, science and struggle of being trapped on Mars. Highly recommended.
