When a powerful pirate lord begins recruiting an army of kids, families take to sea and fight for their lives.
But when Caldonia's family is murdered by enemy pirates, she makes it her mission to take them down and make them pay.
Trust, Loyalty, and Love are called into question, and Caldonia must learn to her truths or die.

This book was incredibly fast-paced. We start out in the throes of action and are jolted forward four years. Although I did find the beginning a little hard to follow, the story overall was amazing! Rebecca Soler was just phenomenal bringing the characters to life. Oh! And that ending 😱

Think Fable by Adrienne Young meets Caraval by Stephanie Garber and you've got Seafire!

4 shining stars! I cannot wait to dive into Steeltide!

“So, to answer your question, I don’t remember myself when I look at the sky.” He takes my hand and tilts his head to face me once more. “I remember myself when I look at you.”
-Death, Ch 64

I absolutely adored this! I'm so glad I waited to read it, too, because I was not ready for it to end! Ugh! Thanatos was everything I imagined he would be and more!
I loved Laz! She's fantastic!
I laughed, I cried, I gasped! The other Horsemen showing up was the icing on the cake!

5 stars!!!!!!!

Review:
Okay, so this book starts up very slow, but it builds up, and the last 20% of the book is intense af.
Overall, this was a 3.5 star book for me. I wasn't super connected to the characters.

This book was brilliant! I love that Andy told it and did the narration, and it made me love the band even more! Honestly, I know Andy will never see this, but if you do, WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU ❤️

After being a victim to the patriotic cult, Victoria Rhodes is adopted by a well-known police officer and raised to be a detective. Now, as an adult, she is.
When a murder spree is linked to a social elite, Victoria and her team race against the clock to find the killer. They know who he is or so they think, but who will be his next victim?

This book has a strong James Bond meets Criminal Minds vibe that will appeal to readers thrown into the future with robots. The story flowed and was well-written. Just when I thought I knew how it would end, I was thrown for a loop.
I enjoyed the dynamic between Victoria and Phillip and the back and forth quips.
Overall, I would say it was 4/5⭐.

Fans of Jay Kristoff, Peirce Brown and Neil Shusterman will enjoy this series.

"I am yours," Serus smiled.
"And you are mine."
"By this tether, our souls are intertwined, and by this blessing, it will never unwind. We have found the soul we sought to find, and with this binding, we are forever, you and I."
-Aeon Chronicles, book 1, page 218

It's BOOK REVIEW TIME!!!!

Okay guys, so I just finished The Aeon Chronicles book 1 by April M. Woodard.

Deep in a world where things are either good or evil, one would never expect to find a cast of morally grey characters.
In book one we follow Sophie, a truth keeper, lower angel for Aramis [the Creator/God] who finds out that the one she loves has been swept up in darkness.
We experience longing and rage and heartache as Sophie comes to terms with her choices.

Favorite character: Alexander and Serus

Least favorite: Caius

What a great debut for Ms. Woodard! Although, now I feel as if this is a prequel of what is to come, I cannot wait to dive into book two and experience more of this gigantic realm!

Overall: 4/5 ⭐

What a cute and fun holiday read! Honestly, this is out of my typical reading genre so I probably wouldn't have picked it up if my book club hadn't picked it, but I'm so glad I read it! Thoroughly enjoyed, and at times had anxiety for May [but only the best kind].

this was a 3.5 star read for me.
I loved the first book but felt like the second dragged a bit.
The plot was heavily based on Callie and Des in the Otherworld and I felt like most of the book I was reading about them boning each other. Now, don't get me wrong, I love some good smut, but I felt like this read more like an erotica book at some points than a paranormal fantasy romance.

The end [though predictable to me] was enjoyable. I liked that it picked up with the mystery in the first book and answered some questions.

Overall: I'll be continuing on with the series to see how it ends.
