“The Laws of Successful Leadership” by Bodo Schafer is subtitled “effective rules of success which change your life!” And it talks about three (3) central themes divided into several laws, namely:
• Discipline
• Character
• Principle

Discipline:
Bodo Schafer uses his book to focus on discipline and leadership. He believes that self-leadership is first, before one could think of leading others, he or she must first lead himself/herself; that leaders are those who have consciously disciplined themselves so that they are relevant to their generation and followers.
Bodo Schafer stated in his book that discipline is key to effective leadership because it ensure that a leader is prepared and worth leading others to follow. And since leadership is influence, followers tend to naturally follow a leader that is self-discipline and discipline conscious.

Character:
As Bodo Schafer believes that character is everything, and a great leader is supposed to have one. He went ahead to say that not only should a leader just have character but a great inspiring lifestyle.

Principle:
Life as believed are built on principles, and great leaders are men of principles, who have consciously set rules to guide their actions. Bodo Schafer wrote in his book that a principled leader is certainly a great leader love by all.
‘The Laws of Successful Leadership’ has helped several leaders to realize and develop certain rules and principles that have guided them in their daily lifestyle thereby helping them to become effective leaders.
This book generally helped to shift the mentality of people especially potential leaders. This book helps to eject self-discipline into the lives of its leaders.
Indeed, The Laws of Successful Leadership’ has helped contributed to knowledge through mental shift for its readers.
