Historia
Kyle Keeley is the class clown, popular with most kids, (if not the teachers), and an ardent fan of all games: board games, word games, and particularly video games. His hero, Luigi Lemoncello, the most notorious and creative game maker in the world, just so happens to be the genius behind the building of the new town library. Lucky Kyle wins a coveted spot to be one of the first 12 kids in the library for an overnight of fun, food, and lots and lots of games. But when morning comes, the doors remain locked.

Historia
All About Agatha is a podcast all about, well, Agatha. Agatha Christie, of course: the Queen of Crime, a real-life Dame of the British Empire, and author of sixty-six mystery novels that spanned the Twentieth Century, defining a genre. For five years, Catherine Brobeck and Kemper Donovan revisited these novels in publication order, ranking them according to pre-set criteria (plot, character, etc.). Tragically, Catherine Brobeck passed away at the end of 2021. Since then, Kemper has completed the podcast's ranking project, and now contents himself with celebrating the greatness of Christie by ...

Excellent Podcast for Fans of Agatha (Christie)!
Revisado: 03-02-23
This is such an amazing podcast! I love the critical thinking and attention to detail with which Kemper and Catherine (with others) engage with all the works of Agatha Christie. As a teacher of high school English, I find the categories from which they attribute points to the various elements of the murder-mystery-thriller genre very helpful for structuring similar engagement opportunities for my students. As a fan of Christie, I find the discussions of these elements very fair, well-thought-out, and thought-provoking. There is excellence and elegance to this podcast. It is fun and witty. I highly recommend it to all who love the genre and the dame.

Consequences: Maggie and Caleb are married, leaders of their people, parents to their children, and happier than they ever dreamed, even with the visions they saw of it to prove it so. The council is still rebelling against Maggie's changes, but this time it's different. It's almost as if something...or someone is behind them, pulling the strings and making decisions for them. Undeniably Chosen: Ava has watched her parents, Caleb and Maggie, live the perfect fairy tale, the perfect love story, played out in front of her eyes her entire life.

NOT up to the standards I've come to expect
Revisado: 11-12-20
This narrator is so far removed from the quality of the narrator from the original books in this series that she makes it hard to listen to. Not only is she missing the southern accent I expect from the voices of this southern family, but the overacting is so pronounced that its cringe-worthy. It is possible that my dislike for this story is partly the fault of the narrator, but the writing itself is very convoluted and overwrought. Maybe it would have been better to quit while ahead.

Historia
When they were growing up, Dana, Harper, and Tawny thought of themselves as “sometimes sisters". They connected only during the summer month they’d all spend at their grandmother’s rustic lakeside resort in north Texas. But secrets started building, and ten years have passed since they’ve all been together - in fact, they’ve rarely spoken, and it broke their grandmother’s heart.

Historia
For 17-year-old Mia Ahlstrom, a world ruled by order is the only world she allows. A lifetime of chore charts, to-do lists, and study schedules have helped earn her a spot at Redwood State University's engineering program. And while her five-year plan includes finding her very own happily-evah-aftah, years at an all-girls boarding school left her feeling woefully unprepared for keg parties and co-ed extracurricular activities.

Historia
When 17-year-old Katy Swartz moved to West Virginia right before her senior year, she'd pretty much resigned herself to thick accents, dodgy Internet access, and a whole lot of boring, but then she spotted her hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up...until he opened his mouth. Daemon Black is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. It's hate at first sight, but when a stranger attacks her and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot guy next door? Well, he's an alien.

Great Story, Great Imagination
Revisado: 07-04-17
Would you listen to Obsidian again? Why?
Yes! It is a wonderfully entertaining.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Obsidian?
Daemon and Katy's first make-out session... the one that blew her laptop up.
What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She is great for this part. She brings just the right voice to the women, and the men.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Katy's personality is hilarious, as is her banter with Daemon.

Really Brought the Story to Life
Revisado: 07-03-17
Would you listen to Haven again? Why?
I have already listened to the whole series again. It is a wonderful experience.
What other book might you compare Haven to and why?
Perhaps Hidden Wings, (by Cameo Renae), Runes, (by Ednah Walters), or (Un)Bidden, (by Melissa Haag). All of these books are also available at Audible
Which scene was your favorite?
I really like the scene in which Emma and Jordan are eating on the rooftop deck. Enter Harper... hilarious!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not necessarily. Having already read the kindle version, the compulsion to find out what happens next is less of a burning issue.
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend the Relentless Series.

Solid Book #2 for Significance Series
Revisado: 03-23-17
Would you listen to Accordance again? Why?
Yes. I enjoy reliving a good book series. The story and narration of this book are done fairly well.
What did you like best about this story?
Maggie's first vision. It is broad in scope and sweeps through time, yet is specific and focused enough to become the road map to the Vituoso's future.
Which character – as performed by Cris Dukehart – was your favorite?
I really enjoy the way that Dukehart brings Maggie's character to life. I also enjoy Dukehart's portrayal of Caleb. However, the character to whom she brings the most fun, must be Becca.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The completely tragic plot development that unveils Bish and Jenn as starcrossed.
Any additional comments?
This series is, thus far, quite enjoyable. This book has a couple of weaker plot elements, but the book is good regardless.

Arriving at the new government bunker, things quickly go from bad to worse. I am separated from Finn and my family because of my ability to connect with Arvies through telepathy. Really great book, poor job with character voices
Revisado: 01-09-17
Where does Intransigent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Middle of the pack. The character voices really dragged the ranking down, especially the voice of Stephen Park.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Intransigent?
It has to be the scene during which Abi slays the 10 Arvies threatening Finn, as well as the powerful people who dared to order such an experiments.
What three words best describe Rachel Simpson’s voice?
terrible character voices
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Great Book, Wonderful Narration
Revisado: 01-09-17
What did you love best about Sanctum?
It was great to have a whole book in which Abi and Finn could be together. It was very enjoyable.
What other book might you compare Sanctum to and why?
Seeress, by Ednah Walters. Raine and the witches have to battle the warlocks and evil immortals, Abi and Finn battle the Arvies (alongside the people of Sanctum).
Raine has to battle things projected into her mind. Abi has to battle against her mental connection to the Arvies.
Raine and Torin grow closer together; Abi and Finn grow closer together.
Which character – as performed by Erin Moon – was your favorite?
Finn, but then he is one of my book boyfriends.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Pike's death. I was unprepared, heartbroken, and I ugly cried.
