Good-ish
Revisado: 07-14-23
This book felt very different compared to Ruth Ware's other works. It wasn't my favorite of hers, but I didn't hate it either. Parts of it felt too fast, almost like I skipped a step. I enjoyed the opening chapters the most and wish the rest of the book would have followed.

Old Reliable
Revisado: 01-01-23
Like all stories about the Liars, this one was far-fetched but entertaining nonetheless. It was slightly predictable at times as the girls proved they haven't changed at all. I love PLL and will continue to consume any storied written about the girls.

Always a Great Experience!
Revisado: 06-15-19
As always, I am impressed by Jim Dale's narration! I love audiobooks but struggle to finish if the reader uses the same voice throughout. I would listen to Jim Dale read the newspaper. As far as the story is concerned, I am a Potterhead through and through. Listening to the books as an adult is a treat because I catch things I didn't when I was a kid.

Love HP & Jim Dale!
Revisado: 05-25-19
I am rereading the HP series for the first time since I finished it in 7th grade. I love Jim Dale as a narrator. He makes it so easy to differentiate between characters and truly embodies their personalities.

Historia
Leonora, known to some as Lee and others as Nora, is a reclusive crime writer, unwilling to leave her nest of an apartment unless it is absolutely necessary. When a friend she hasn't seen or spoken to in years unexpectedly invites Nora ( Lee) to a weekend away in an eerie glass house deep in the English countryside, she reluctantly agrees to make the trip. Forty-eight hours later, she wakes up in a hospital bed injured but alive, with the knowledge that someone is dead.

Historia
This engaging tale by Jacqueline Davies is “filled with real-life problems that relate to math, getting along with siblings and friends, [and] dealing with pride” ( School Library Journal). Evan’s little sister Jessie may be a smartypants, but he usually doesn’t mind her. That is, until he hears Jessie’s going to skip third grade and be in his year at school. Now, with tempers flaring, their friendly lemonade-selling competition is turning into an all-out war.

Loved The Lemonade War!
Revisado: 07-16-17
I loved this story and look forward to using it with my 5th graders during our economics unit. As I listened, I made note of several opportunities to stop for classroom discussions or to practice reading strategies.
