Interesting cast of characters

My best advice is stick with it. It took me a minute or 5 to really get into this book. I was reading along as well as listening. The descriptive writing from this author is beautiful but sometimes overwhelming to the plot and hook. The FMC while living in a sheltered village, I know, took almost to the end of the book for me to warm to. However I had instalove with The witch collector. The cast expanse, the plot thickens and all is right in the world again.
The narration…..great job with all the voices however, the staccato speaking when with Raina or Alexus are signing is ANNOYING. She can’t speak-we know-I’ve read many other books with deaf characters that sign and they have never brought signing down to a “lesser” sounding way of communicating in a conversation. Ok so clearly that bugged me but moving on.

I’ve read this series 4-5 times and usually listen when I can’t read. From the writing style to the characters to the narrator its just simply the best.

Good but not the best

This installment gives us new characters and lots of bloody, detailed battles scenes. Some character development within the women of Westwood Lands but not what I was expecting this far along I the series. Still loved it enough to read the next. I think I’m battle weary at this point.
The narrator slightly annoys me so Ive been switching over to my kindle a little more than listening.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve reread the series. This is my favorite series of this genre and the narrator for this audiobook is awesome. She lends a unique quality to Kate’s voice and does a great job with the other voices as well. Love the story. Love the characters very much love the authors. Happy reading.
